A brand new amusement park will be located in Winterswijk, Gelderland, close to the border with Germany. "Bommelwereld" will be themed to the Dutch comic duo Tom Poes and Olivier B. Bommel, the opening is set for spring 2025.

There will be a roller coaster, currently called "De Bulderbaan"

From the concept art we can see quite a few attractions including a slide, an old-timer track, a fishing mill, a carousel, bumper cars, free-fall towers, a swing ride, pull rafts, a rotating swing ship, a duck carousel, swinging planes, a tree trunk track, a dragon carousel , a Ferris wheel and a windmill with spinning boxes.

Constructions has apparently started with Jora Vision designing it.

This is interesting. The concept art appears to be much more ambitious compared to how Toverland began its operations, however that makes this a much more complete experience with less need for expansion in order to sustain itself.

Given that there must be some hefty captial behind this, I am wondering whether we will see a more strictly kids-focused approach here, especially because that is the most profitable target audience in the amusement park industry.

New making of episode, lots of progress on the park! The main building is up and work is coming along nicely on the castle at the entrance. The first pieces of coaster track are also on site. This is one of the 247m model junior coasters, like Frida at Energylandia or those Crazy Cab clones in Indonesia. For the coaster related stuff (including a visit to Vekoma) skip to 8:50

Awright let's do some catch-up.

De Bulderbaan the coaster was set up and completed around June. Here's a timestamped video from then;

Jora Vision just did a big presentation at IAAPA, park's mascots were on hand while they broke down the full attraction lineup in extraneous detail. Lots of artwork and drawings to go around, nice handpicked mix of family-oriented stuff from Zamperla, Zierer, Metallbau Emmeln, Bertazzon, and Gosetto. ABC has a kiddy log flume boat sitting at the booth as well. Obviously the crown jewel here will be the coaster, of which I've attached a train concept pic below. Vekoma leads cars rarely disappoint nowadays.

Full presentation has a lot of insight into the park, you may get something out of a watch;

Building's five castle spires were lifted into place the other day, thus topping them out. The single smaller one weighs 15,000 Kilos while the other four were around 25,000 Kilos each. About 56,000 roofing tiles were used across the board.
