Blackpool Pleasure Beach Lauch Speedy Pass

It doesn't take much to get me ranting about things at PB nowadays, as much as I like the place, I find it hard to sit here and defend some of the stuff which has happened or is going to happen, ie this Speedy Pass rubbish.

I am well and truely against it.

At every park around the world if they got rid of these things queues would move faster.

We noticed this at Disney World on Big Thunder Mountain. There was an hour standby queue and one platform was for fast pass and the other normal. If they used both for standard the queue would be 30 mins so there would be no need for fast pass.

Yes we fast passed it as we could not be bothered waiting an hour but we would have waited 30 mins as I think most people would.

But unlike many parks Disney do not charge for their pass and I swear other parks are just doing it to make as much money as possible and by creating a longer queue means people will buy the pass. So in the morning you get to the parks and they are running 1 train so the queues are long. You then go and buy the pass and they put a 2nd train on so the pass is not really needed. It is all a money making thing.

Yeah, for most rides they do tend to just screw up the lines. The case and point is when Pirates of the Caribbean had fastpass in Disneyland. It was always like a 45 minute wait. Now, it seems like it's always 20 minutes or less since they got rid of it.
