But it looks ace! haha, whats with the wiggly track <3. That bit looks fun. Is it not a full circuit coaster? sorry if I'm slow with this.

It's a love child of these rides:

Have you ever tried to draw on a napkin?*

I reckon they were designing it over lunch and the force of the pencil made the napkin scrunch up a little.

*Yes, Vadge, I remember Taybarn.

I dont really get the point in it, the front of the train isn't going to get anywhere near the end of the track.

I reckon it looks like a "make your own rollercoaster out of spaghetti and toilet rolls with Blue Peter" kind of thing.

Whatever, purely for the quirkiness of it, I already love it :)

I'm sure its lovely for the kiddies and everything, but, well, it's not really a boomerang is it? I know that the principal is the same, but, well.... eugh. That's essentially saying that ALL shuttle coasters are boomerangs. Which is silly.

That's essentially saying that ALL boomerangs look like a Vekoma shuttle coaster. Which is silly.

Boomerangs themselves don't conventionally come with a cobra roll, a vertical loop, two spikes and a train. Or do they? And my childhood was filled with boring toys? It's possible.

So yeah, it's always simply been the principle rather than the actual physical form of a boomerang; so there's as much right to call this a 'boomerang' as the standard one we've learned to loathe. ;) :p

It looks like jolly good fun nonetheless!

That actually looks really fun if you were sitting in the bad.

Erm. Elephants? Yes? /Me being confused.. I'm guessing you meant 'back'? ;)

Also, this looks so strange. It reminds me of Expedition Everest's First Switch Back in which the track is mangled lol. I can only see the train going up to the first 'level' partly?

It looks fun, and to be honest they're going to make a bomb with this.

It's looking a lot better than I imagined, I'll have to go up there and see it.

“Based on the hit TV series by Cartoon Network, the Ben 10 roller coaster ride will be called Ben 10: Ultimate Mission, and will also include a host of activity and adventure as part of the queuing system for the ride.

The initial stage of t…he queuing system transports visitors to Azmuth’s Lab on Galvan Prime planet, where they are introduced to Azmuth, the creator of the Omnitrix, which is used by Ben to transform himself into aliens. The Omnitirx is broken so Azmuth needs to fix it before villain Vilgax discovers that it’s on Galvan and tries to capture it for himself. The adventure begins…

Moving next to the Alien Chamber, visitors will be immersed in intergalactic alien world. As visitors progress through the workshop, laser beam blasts and warning alerts can be heard, bright lights flash and the ground begins to shake – the lab is under attack from Vilgax.

Visitors must activate the laser cannon in order to stop Vilgax’s ship before it lands. Boarding the roller coaster, they must ride at full force to the blast cannon, with Vilgax hot on their tail. After the breathtaking excitement aboard the roller coaster, riders are informed that they’ve successfully completed their mission. Vilgax has been defeated!

Riders then enter the exclusively themed Cartoon Network shop, showcasing an exciting range of Cartoon Network games and toys, and where they can view video footage and images of their adventure on the thrilling roller coaster ride.

Ben 10: Ultimate Mission will accommodate approximately 850 riders per hour, guarantees thrills and is set to be a firm favourite with visitors of all ages. The coaster is the world’s first Junior Boomerang model and launches riders forwards on their first tour of the track before they return travelling backwards along the same route. The track itself will be 180m long and will reach heights of 20m whilst the coaster reaches speeds of up to 55 kph, and a g-force of three.

The exciting new coaster and shop will be part of an amazing Cartoon Network Street, which will also include a Cartoon Network diner that will be thematically decorated both inside and out and will also play Cartoon Network cartoons on flat screens around the diner.

There will also be a stage above the Ben 10: Ultimate Mission entrance, which will accommodate live shows to entertain guests as they approach the ride during busy periods.

To book tickets, or for more information about the park, visit www.draytonmanor.co.uk or call 0844 472 1960. Reduced prices are available for tickets bought in advance.”

Sounds decent

How fab <3.

I'm glad theres an excuse to go back to Drayton, it's molto molto favoloso <3.

I hope this is going to be open for Easter. I know that's not like Drayton, but the progress doesn't seem bad at all.

Cartoon Network Street ey? Drayton Manor is quickly turning into land of the childrens TV. Good of them to snatch it up though with Blackpool playing hard with Nickleodeon Land. Definately a year for the families........again.

Anyway yeah, better be open for Easter Drayton!

I want to see how the train reacts to the twisty bit! Start testing Drayton! pweeeez?

Oh, and I really like the story. As an 18 year old who for a year or two had a guilty pleasure in watching a bit of the series, I feel like it does a good job of fitting the ride into the narrative. Depends how much effort they end up actually putting into it though. We haven't really seen much of the theming... :/

To be totally honest. I'm pretty excited for this. I know it's not going to be anything amazing, but hey, it's another cred for the UK. If it actually pays off in terms of theming. I'll LOVE the indoor queue. I adore the kind of "Story Queue's" as I like to call them. Very much like Hex's. I just love them, they're great to get you totally immersed into the attraction. The only thing I don't think will work, is, the story building up that you need to get into the train to attack the villain, yet going outside and boarding the train, I just don't think it'll feel right..

Anyway, that wiggly bit <3
