It's downright embarrassing that people form so much of their lives around something like this, and are capable of dismissing it so abruptly without having the slightest idea of what it is.
As it stands, this is just a rumour as well - until further plans are shown or anything, I cannot comment on whether or not it is a "good investment" for the park, or whether it would make me want to go more often.
I agree. Then at no point should be judging it at all, let alone to be called the enthusiast version of "throwaway ride" - a "credit."
Learn some damned respect for the people that bring you these types of rides.
Get off your high horse sunshine.
If you seriously think the underlying reason for enthusiasts wanting a new coaster is for a "+1" you have no clue.
Sorry but I'm no enthusiast (I disagree with many ways of an enthusiasts thoughts), and certainly don't give a toss about coaster counting, however that just came across as rude, and "I'm on this side of the fence, you're on that side, respect my authoritah!".
Nobodies really dismissed it, the only info we've got is there is a possible new family coaster, until an enthusiast knows more information, the least they can go on to get excited about it is a +1... obviously as more info is released, they get more excited about the coaster for what it actually is, and not just a +1. At least there is some kind of excitement being generated, whether it is excitement for a +1 or not, some excitement and anticipation is better than none?
If you reply expect a reply in about a month as thats about how often I check the nerdy section, people like you killed the imagination and dreaming of being an enthusiast for me, so I'm just GP, sorry.
Edit : New coaster at Drayton = whoo... Troublesome Trucks wasn't enough to make me want to return, another decent coaster on top may do that
