This was pointed out to me at Great America when I met a fellow enthusiast there. We were riding back row on Batman, and he told me that the backwards Batman chassis had been modified to run forwards. No other park is getting the same backwards chassis that Great America received. The trains are running in a sort of "Frankenstein" state now, with the first seven cars being the modified backwards cars, and the eighth car from the original train.
But the rest of the original train is gone, the backwards cars have had their mechanics switched to run forwards. Also, one train is running with wheel covers and one without, which I find to be quite odd and somewhat unnecessary.
