Bagatelle | "Triops" | Vekoma Invertigo

You may remember that Bagatelle were supposed to be getting that Boomerang from Karolinlund, and the park even semi-confirmed it, but that is now off for some reason.

However, Sommerland Syd in Denmark have now confirmed that they have sold their Vekoma Invertigo coaster to a park in France..... Considering Bagatelle actually announced the Boomerang, you'd think they'd be in the market for a replacement?

Sommerland Syd have announced on their Facebook page that they have sold Tornado, their Vekoma Invertigo coaster to a park in France. No word yet on just what they may have in mind to replace it.

^ They're awful. There's a reason they never stay at one park for very long...

They're not just bad to ride, but are a technical nightmare. A couple have given riders a faceful of oil if my memory serves me correctly.

I quite like normal Boomerang coasters (and the GIBs are amazing), but Invertigos should all be scrapped. Like, now.

I've only been on one, but it was dire. There's a reason they never really took off, and it's because they're ****. You might as well just get a regular Boomerang; they're more reliable, forceful and actually quite fun, especially those with the newer trains. I prefer the normal Boomerangs to be honest.

The GIBs are in a different league altogether. It's just a shame about the reliability issues and the preconceptions people get about them just from the "Boomerang" name.

Mmmmm, the two I've done have both been pretty entertaining, not been bashed around TOO much...

Good choice from the park though, might entice me to go more...

Yep, great move from Bagatelle! The theming looks interesting too...(similar to BT at Gradaland?) I also think that it's a good idea that they haven't marketed it as an absoloutely AMAZING coaster too.

Nice that one's finally coming to Europe!

Its not really coming to Europe, as it came from Denmark. 'Closer to home' would be better suited.

Unique =/= First.

(I assume unique means unique)

It's moving from Denmark, to France. Thus it'll be unique, but it isn't "coming to Europe".

Certainly not new in Europe, but unique.

Dare we hope for a new train maybe?
This coaster would actually have a chance to be decent if it got the new Vekoma restraints.

Ok, a little bit of a stupid question here, but is a Vekoma Invertigo Coaster quite simply a boomerang coaster in an inverted position, but different to the GIB in that the release point is at 45degrees not 90degrees? and of course in size.

If this is the case then it's just the name im not familiar with.

Wow that track looks like it's in awful condition. I was looking forward to Bagatelle getting a new big coaster but now I'm concerned 'cause it looks like they've tried to buy the worst second-hand coaster they could get their hands on.

The one at CGA was HORRIBLE and that was about a billion times nicer than this...
