Thursday night Australian Pink Floyd came to Cambridge, where Pink Floyd first originated. They come every year, I was supposed to go last year but due to being on a geology field trip in Scotland I couldn't go. I went with ATTACKHAMMER, his sister, dad and uncle.

They were exceptionally good, a really great evening was had by all. Here's a small PTR.

They started off the evening with 'Shine on you Crazy Diamond':

^^drums!

This was followed by 'What do you want from me' and 'Coming back to Life'.
'Time' was next, followed by 'Breathe':

They played 'Great Gig in the Sky' which was my second favourite song of the evening. For those of you that haven't heard it I took a recording so I'll post that when I put the video on YouTube.

They also played 'Another Brick in the Wall Part 2', based on their times at the 'Cambridgeshire High School For Boys', now called 'Hills Road Sixth Form College' where I currently attend. They had an excellent blow up teacher:

(Sorry about the haziness).

^This is the keyboard guy. During the second half there was an issue with the keyboards and someone was hastily trying to fix them.

That was it for the first half, 15 minute interval before the second half kicked off with 'Pigs' and 'Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun':

They then differed slightly from the expected set list with 'Have a Cigar'.
'Hey You' and 'Wish you were here' were also played.

This steel guitar was pretty awesome:

These green lasers were awesome, created fantastic patterns on the back of Corn Exchange:

During 'One of these Days' the massive pig was inflated:

The penultimate song was 'Comfortably Numb', my personal favourite. It was absolutely fantastic. Again, I'll post a video when I get them sorted. The drummer was out of this world.

They went off stage and of course everyone was cheering for 'MORE MORE MORE'.

The encore was 'Run Like Hell'. It was amazing.

The whole thing was amazing, truly fantastic. Hope you enjoyed my PTR :)

In the UK that might be called a pig, but in Australia it's called a kangaroo.

So did my dad and I, we were front row on the right side!

No way! We were in the middle somewhere. Then moved down to the front for the re-takes and got majorly blinded. I'll watch out for you next time I watch it

Do haha! I don't even own the DVD so I've never seen it.

I have seen some of the DVD on You Tube, and although you can see where ATTACKHAMMER and I were sitting you can't make us out. Great show and for free! Jordanovichy, whatever made you think that Skippy, with the AUSTRALIAN Pink Floyd was a pig?

I was at the gig the real Pink Floyd recorded their Pulse video and you can see me as a tiny speck in the 20,000 people in the audience.

Smug factor infinity! :p

Nah, Lord Morton can out Floyd me considerably actually - that's what he has...

Well ATTACKHAMMER and I were at the O2 Arena in London on 12th May 2011 seeing Roger Waters on The Wall tour, when much to our and everyone's surprise David Gilmour appeared at the top of the wall to play Comfortably Numb. I could not believe our luck, and to say the crowd went wild is a bit of an understatement. I knew he had said he would play one show, but I never thought it would be that night. At the end Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason appeared on stage together to play Outside The Wall. An evening I will never forget.

Comfortably Numb is one of my favorite songs of all time, would have loved to be there as Pink Floyd were/are amazing.

Posted while reading your mind.

Currently watching the Australian Pink Floyd Live at the Hammersmith Apollo on You Tube, via our Apple TV and HiFi, with the volume turned up to eleven. I reminds me of being there on the night with ATTACKHAMMER. They are so good, can't wait to see them on their next tour.
