Arrow trains headrest height?

This may be a really dumb question, but does some Arrow trains have higher headrests than others? I was noticing today while watching videos of "Viper" at SFMM that the headrests seemed much higher than what I can remember on King's Island's "Vortex." They're probably the same size and I've overlooked it, but for some reason I feel like those are higher. Haha.

I remember at some point that they did change their car designs and I believe that the newer chassis ride lower to the floor, the same as the newer (not modern) Vekoma design. I might be talking complete rubbish here...
 
I've been stressing over this same thing myself for years. Can somebody PLEASE settle this?!
 
I think it just might.

One thing I know for sure is the restraint is different from the stock and standard horse collar design. It has a large, rounded hand hold instead of the short-nubby one. I remember the restraint itself being more plush than the hard rubber.

The headrest could very well be raised. I remember that on Tennessee Tornado, the last Arrow multi-looper, the headrest was noticeably higher. TT was built in 1999, and Viper was one of the last ultimate loopers in 1993.

At the end of the day though, you are splitting hairs over a very outdated, very uncomfortable train design.
 
Thanks man! And definitely. I completely forgot that Tennessee Tornado did feel different than Vortex! And you are correct. As much as I love them, I have to take Advil for the headache every time. Haha
 
They were the first modern day looping train design, so it's hard to hate the original looping train.

It's like telling Edison to piss off with his lightbulb.
