Don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but just prefer cats.
They are the lazy mans pet lol
Seriously, don't require as much work and I just like their general attitude/ways!
Also I can't help but notice almost all flak cats get seem to be from childhood movies/gossip.
Seriously, cats are kinda sinister and dark and evil...that crap is straight out of stuff from movies and TV shows we saw as children. They are "dirty" is a lie, they scratch up everything...it depends on the cat but all the ones I've had seen were 100% perfectly fine.
They sleep most of the day, and while some may bother you at food time, some dont...so they aren't even that annoying as some want to think.
Don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but just prefer cats.

I love my cat Eddie to bits, every night when I get home from work he's in the window maowing, then when I walk in he jumps up on the kitchen side, puts his paws on my shoulders, rubs his face on my nose to give me a kiss, then lays over my shoulder for a cuddle.
His mad half hours (more like 2 minutes) are hilarious too, this afternoon he kept diving on recepts on the bed making them fly allover, then hiding under a box with his little face sticking out.
He also loves jumping out on you as you walk past or playing 'ninja cat' like on the youtube video.
