Or we're not interested

A bit of harmless name calling was all that I was interested in ;)

Thats because you're a silly little tw*t.

And it doesnt surprise me that you are no longer interested, I guess its a shame for you that your ''harmless name calling'' did nothing but make us laugh.

You really are boring me with these 'comebacks'.

Where has Ben gone? At least he puts a few more seconds thought into his silly remarks.

You wonder why me and Ash sign in when some of you on here are posting some pathetic comments about the Pleasure Beach?

Half of you dont even get a <img> about the park, yet your always quick to put them down and slate them.

Are you sure you're 21? Jesus, maybe if you actually have a look at some other park topics you'll see that other parks such as Thorpe, Drayton, Flamingoland get put down JUST as much as Blackpool and there's never this much of an uproar.

Pleasure Beach does not have the same financial backing as Alton Towers & Thorpe Park, so you cant expect them to put in gimmick ride after gimmick ride, instead Pleasure Beach pick and chose when to add coasters into the park, they've done this since they first opened the doors over a 100 years ago, why change now?

They may not be owned by Merlin but it doesn't mean they don't have the financial capability to invest in new attractions. Heck, look what Flamingoland have JUST opened. Blackpool is still an iconic tourist destination so it really confuses me how they haven't been able to get this financial backing.

Finally, Pleasure Beach might not be adding in new rides by the year, but at least those classic coasters they've got in the park, can actually withstand the weather unlike Merlin's playground in Staffordshire.

I'd like to see Blackpool run JUST as effectively in snow as well.

No, and I wont be saying who they were from, as at least one of them seems to fear a few people on here (why I cant imagine) I've seen scarier tins of beans in Tesco, come to think of it the said beans had more brains than a few members ofthis place.

I'm sorry, I thought this was a rollercoaster forum not a Haunted attraction.

You really think you are somthing dont you.

I find it hard to believe that's directed at me from someone who has just written:

As I said at the time, get over it, let your balls hang between your legs like all the other grown men in the world.

Oh sorry, you've not reached that stage yet have you.

or:

Yep, thats because I wont stand back and read a bunch of people with rather unusual hair cuts lieing about the park which has brought more the the UK than Awful Flowers.

Moving on...

Well time for you to hear a few home truths. I think you are a spoiled little bratt. What right do you have to call anywhere a dump, especially when both the parks you refer to are on the way up. Let me guess, you'll argue against that now.

I think it's fair enough to say they were dumps, they're both pretty tacky, poorly run and the rides aren't very good. However you did manage to avoid the main point of my quote which is that nobody gives a toss when parks such as Thorpe, Flamingoland and Drayton are slated, however there's always a fuss when Blackpool gets criticised.

Merlins playground however, while it certainly itsn't a dump, it looked like a construction site last week. At least PBB was ready to start the new season.

Yes, just leave the rides that aren't ready SBNO for the season.

I agree PBB needs a new coaster. But they also need to clear a hell of a lot of debt first. Somthing they are well on with, the next stage in the proces is to get back on level peggings (RollerCoaster, Gold Mine, Ice Show making a return

Fair enough, but I don't see how replacing rides with fountains is clearing their debt in any way. :?

I suggest you read this;

http://www.hostingphpbb.com/forum/viewt ... m=bickopbb

Look at the photos.

Yes, thats Pleasure Beach operating in the snow.

As for Towers, well I am still in contact with the majority of staff I worked with and most have said the roads were fine leading into Towers and most of the staff were kept in anyway, so it cant have been that bad.

You call that snow?

Anyway, Blackpool = in a city.
Alton = in the middle of nowhere.

City = grit, good links, less snow in the first place.
Middle of nowhere = silly icy roads, no grit, more snow = more woe.

Alton was operating okay in the snow from Thursday to Saturday anyway, it's just Sunday that was closed, and it did look a lot deeper then.

Man this is stupid yet more bitching over a park. Its my local park but I don't care what they add or take away as long as the parks still around and has something to make want to go back. Yes the park can at times look scruffy or out of place but with what money they have they are doing well. If they had like lets say £100 million and only put in a generic kiddy coaster for the last 3 years and ignored the upkeep then this amount of arguing can be seen but the park is trotting along nicely.

And to be picky Blackpool is a Town not a City. A rather camp cheesy town full of the usual misfits you find in all places. the sea in places lowers the snowfall but it isnt always fun. Yes Alton is in the middle of the sticks and suffers from unpredictable weather. So yes Alton is worse in that part but Blackpool suffers from the sea spray and the higher winds that lash in off the Irish sea.

You can tell it's a Blackpool topic these days...

Right here's my view...

I USED to like Blackpool, but it seems that ever since Geoffrey died and Amanda took over it's gone downhill, with unpopular decisions ACROSS the board, with Pleasureland being shut, rides continuously removed, prices going up and with only one 'new' thing since...

Yes I do indeed realise due to the layout of Blackpool rides may have to be removed to be replaced, but they should be replaced at least at the same time as their removal... Not several years down the line...

Isn't Blackpool one of the most visited parks in the UK? Then where is all the income going? They must have SOME money they can spend on flat rides...

Ash and Scott you need to stop being so arsey when people give the park criticism, you're the only two people who turn up and moan about it when all the other park fanboys (I'm gonna use Ollie and Saw here) really don't try and put this sort of crap on when people come here and say that it's crap...

I did have to lol when at 1am you were wondering where people were... Maybe I dunno, they were... IN BED? I know I was...

Right, off to uni... Toodles...

It's funny how Ash and Scott think we're all having a go at them when they're just insulting everyone else and acting like idiots. Just digging a bigger hole really.

Do you two still think you're right when EVERYONE apart from you can actually see what's happening to the park and how it's gone dramatically downhill ever since Amanda took over.

We've argued plenty of good points but you seem to ignore them and miss them when answering and just replace it with name calling.
Just take off your rose tinted glasses and actually have a look at the park for what it is. A dump.
If the park is struggling for money then how can they afford to waste it on these super expensive fountains. How much did that one outside Trauma Towers cost?
The park was fine before. I used to love the place but then 'that woman' took over and it has been since then the park has just turned ****. It's hard to have fun there anymore and it's spoilt any good memories I had off it before.

I admire you two for sticking up for the park but you've really got to read the points we're putting across and take them in. We don't want to dislike Blackpool, but we have no choice due to how **** it is now.
Yes you're allowed your opinion but you two say it like it's fact and won't back down for the dump you're defending.
We're not bashing the place on purpose. Like what's been mentioned, plenty of other parks and rides are always being bashed by members but noone makes a fuss about it other than you two. You decide to insult members here that you know are right because you can't come up with a proper answer or response to what we're telling you.

Once again a perfectly normal Blackpool topic has now gone off topic due to the same two idiots again.

Scott, Ash - seriously, get the chip off your shoulders.

Ollie made a pathetic, crap joke and it causes three pages of tripe because you've got such a massively out of proportion need to "defend the Pleasure Beach". If you'd not commented, everyone would have just rolled their eyes, sighed and ignored Ollie's pathetic joke.

Yes Ollie, the whole "Blackpool will replace it with a fountain" joke is ****, it was **** 12 months ago and it's still **** now.

Ben and Neal (and Rush) - You should know better too. Just ignore people, or take it to PM's. There's no need to make yourselves look like twats. It always ends the same way.

If anyone feels the need to discuss it further, use the PM system.

Yes Ollie, the whole "Blackpool will replace it with a fountain" joke is , it was 12 months ago and it's still now.

As **** as it was, its something thats going to be here for the long run, along with LOLTHORPESRIDESAREBROKE and LMAOTAYLORLOOKSLIKETINWOMAN unfortunately...

As the website says its closed for refurb, I believe it. The entrance was always a bit tight anyway (or maybe I'm just a fat bastard? ) and it was getting a bit rickety... I'm sure they won't get rid of it that easily to be honest its pretty much the centre piece of the entrance and to spend a bit of money refurbing it or removing it completely, I know which I'd choose!

Furie, it is not a 'chip on our shoulders' though at all. It just really pisses me off that people who very rarely visit the Pleasure Beach, know little or nothing at all about the management, feel that they are educated to moan about the parks every move. I get the feeling people pick at the Pleasure Beach for the sake of it, well they do, we've discussed this elsewhere Furie and we've talked it over that Pleasure Beach is probably the most moaned about park in the country and half the time its by people who actually have nothing better to do than pick an argument.

I dont really have anything else to add, because as usual I expect the usual clan of pricks to come and pick another argument, but in all fairness if thats what they want to entertain themselves doing, then feel free to do so.

Bring back the days of Coaster Force when fans of any park across the UK were accepted, not this pro Merlin bollocks that has taken over this site and a few others.

PM sent Scott, can everyone now just please talk about Noah's Ark closure.

Fans from all parks are welcome! Look closely and you'll see topics on Paultons, Oakwood, Flamingoland, Lightwater Valley, Fantasty Island - even ruddy Flambards!

I would hardly call CF pro-Merlin. Christ, CF is one of the most critical communitiues of the Merlin group, the difference is that Merlin are actually doing something positive by adding new rides and have cleared out the crappy managment that dogged them for years.

The reason people have a go at Blackpool is because nothing, absolutely nothing, nothing of a signifcicant note at least since a reloacted SLC, has been added to BPB!

I agree with furie, Scott (and Ash), you two do seem to have a chip on your shoulder when it comes to Blackpool. Maybe, just maybe if you posted in topics regarding othe rparks then you wouldn't feel the need to defend youself and others wouldn't make jokes at your expense.

I'm locking this. If you want right of reply, please PM me and I'll copy and paste it in here. I don't want it bogged down with more bitchiness than it already has.
