Alton Towers Scarefest 2012

^It does. It's been up to 3 hours before. :P
And it's still too expensive for two mazes that are much smaller and not as scary (unless you hate clowns) as the free maze.

Anyway speaking of extras. Alton have just released details about the scare rooms.

The Altonville Motel cordially invites you to book into one of their delightful themed suites. Following the incidents surrounding the old McLynn farm, the Motel was shut in 2006. However, now under new management, the doors have reopened and await your arrival.

In a statement, the Motel management said ''We hope that people realise that what they may have heard about the Motel and the Surrounding areas is just local folklore. Any interested guests should book their rooms immediately to avoid bitter disappointment and if they book now, 'special' entertainment will be laid on for the lucky few.''

The Alton Motel Scarerooms is an extreme theatrical experience that will take place the moment you check in through till 2:00am. Including a 3 course dinner as a part of your night's stay, please be aware that by booking this experience, performers will have access to your rooms and some of your personal data. We ask that you please pack appropriate footwear and clothing, as some of this experience will take place outdoors.

In addition to the Scare Rooms, Alton Towers are currently offering up to 40% off Scarefest tickets if booked in advance online.

Interested as to what the outdoor section will be. It seems to be tied in loosely with the Fo1kS story although they won't sent you into that as they haven't grown it this year. Also good that it includes an evening meal now as well.

Yeah, it is good that it 'includes' the meal, but at what cost?

Yeah, it's really good that they're making the Scare Rooms more of a theatrical experience now, as it really was just a case of, here's a fast track and people will jup out at you in the night, thanks for your extra £100. Making it more of an experience actually justifies spending that bit of extra money now, to actually get MORE of an experience for your cash.

^Exactly. I can't remember the price last year but looking at the website it seems cheaper than last year.
It is ridiculously expensive but people do pay it and they sell out every night well before Scarefest even starts.

It's half term so it will probably be quite busy. It's always hard to predict how busy it'll be though so it could be quiet.

Just go expecting it to be packed and if it's quieter then it's a bonus. :)

I've never had a problem with Scarefest. Call it hour queues and you're close. I've been a lot of times too.
