9/11 EDL & Muslim Extremists

^I see what you mean but I dont think it would stop them protesting though. I think violence is only going to be met with more violence and as we all know; minorities of these groups are certainly not bothered about using the most violent methods possible. (<being vvery careful how I word this)
 
Yeah I agree its hard to stop anybody protesting, peaceful protesting is perhaps slightly different? But attempting to use violence against any group of extreme protesters and its normally going to be met with more violence regardless of scale.

I know it's one of those treading carefully subjects, but no doubt I'll end up putting my foot straight through it sooner rather than later.

By 'these groups', I assume you mean Asian/Islamic youths. In which case, I'd argue that the people we're discussing aren't Asian/Islamic youths. The majority of them are in their 20's and above, and have been 'brainwashed' from an early age. None of them have the cojones to plot/carry out an attack on this country, and they hide behind their 'rights' to gain attention. I'm almost certain if they were afforded no protection whatsoever, their numbers are so minimal in comparison to the number of people who'd be willing to counter them, that they'd not be seen again.
 
A problem with people brought up on someone else's beliefs is that they are totally bigoted to other people, and won't listen to other people's opinions.
Perfect example was my old housemate who was a hardcore atheist, she wouldn't listen to anyones opinions but her own, she even said I should be a bible basher just because I was agnostic.

I should really have said ALL groups, inclusive of the groups like EDL... sorry. :oops:
 
I think it's always a worrying sign in a topic when you see the words human rights or rights used in speech marks...

Or more just all 'minority' groups, or groups with such strong beliefs that they think it grants them permission to be violent :p
 
The fact is this, if these islamistc extremists or who ever they are, where to to return to their country of origin (if born outside the UK), this kind of behaviour, revolt agains the "norm" for example, wouldn't be tolerated, look at Libya and Syria for example, they would be in deep ****, so I think it's best for them to stand on their street corner with their death to the west slogans and signs, safe in the knowledge that it's their hated west that provides them the freedoms to put on such a demonstration..... Sigh, move along, nothing to see here etc
