2008 Park Attendance Figures Report

^ yeah, I agree. Last year PA was a fair bit 'tattier' than when i went a few years back, with baco's station and queue already showing signs of neglect. This does effect the atmosphere quite a lot and could make the difference of someone returning the next year or not.
But I also think the weather had a big part, when I went in late May, they had some of the wettest weather spain has seen in a long time (so said some of the locals)

I was also suprised at how high up on the list merlin are, but i surpose they do have a lot of attractions.

My sister went over to work in Salou last summer and she said allot of businesses were saying it was the quietest summer in a long time with tourist numbers dropping so this would greatly effect Port Aventura's attendance. I say this year will see another drastic fall in numbers to Port Aventura unfortunately.
