I have seen a picture, where a fastpass system was seen for Zadra, that has been added in this off season. It has a Western Camp logo on it, so it might just be for people staying there, remains to be seen.
Considering their dispatch speeds, which werent great when we visited, I hope they don’t...
There is a bus connection (number 666) from Bietigheim, which in turn has train lines to Stuttgart.
Today we had a photo shoot on these new rides, got to ride both rides and I have to say, HüK is really impressive and a beautiful addition to the parks lineup. Highlights are the helix after the...
There have been a few people riding the ride, mostly park staff and a few invited guests. In this particular video, there is the operational manager of the park and a member of their technical team.
Tripsdrill also has 4 cars for Karacho with 3 being the maximum they use at once. Anyways, Hals über Kopf will only get two 10 row trains, the maintenance area is probably longer to have sone space to work in.
I seem to remember you told me a year ago, that swinging trains with inversions wouldn’t be possible when I said, the trains for Tayto will be like the SFC trains.
They are similar to the SFC trains, a bit bigger with different restraints and all, I also love the theming they will get.
The potential for these vehicles was great, using them for dark rides with their ability to stop, run forwards and backwards and produce a decent acceleration would make for great themed experiences. I also liked the fact, that the restraints was certified to go upside down and all. Sadly after...
There is one Infinity without inversions, but that one is launched. Kärnan would be somewhat comparable as the only inversion is after the speed focused outdoor part, but other than that.
Yes it does state that both launch and lifthill are possible, but it doesn’t specify with which type of restraint and since there is an Infinity with OTSRs... well we shall see.
It isn’t the same model, but there is no Infinity coaster built so far with both, let alone with lapbars and the space requirements are pretty much the same. Fitting the required magnets, chain dog, anti rollback system, a surface for tires to move along and the lapbar system is quite the task...
Just FYI Gerstlauer can’t do lifthill, launch and lapbars in one ride, at least thats what they told us when they had the Shellraiser model at EAS. Maybe that was just for Eurofighters though, still an exciting project.
Tripsdrill has posted a new video with a few shots of the new coasters, as well as an interview with Benjamin Fischer. Since it is German the major points:
-Plans started right after Karacho was finished, the intention was to build only the suspended coaster, but during a visit to another park...
