According to a Bloomberg article, Universal is planning a smallish family focused park and resort just north of Dallas as well as a horror attraction in Vegas. I really hope this happens, it would be great to see them expand into regional markets. Concept art below is from the article...
Cedar Fair just sold the land California's Great America sits on to a real estate company and will close the park within the next 11 years. It's a shame to see the park go from those rumored large scale expansion plans to this. Sigh...
I've never really followed Screamscape so I don't know how reliable they are or what their reputation is but this is something to watch for sure. I haven't ridden Kumba but it's been near the top of my bucket list for years and I would be pretty devastated to see something happen to it...

The park released a video with quite a bit of new concept art and also some testing footage. Definately looking forward to the Jurassic World area the most but the whole thing looks pretty incredible
