    What was your first car?

My first car was the Volvo of Torque The photo was taken shortly after a lap at the Nurburgring, I can still smell the burning clutch. it was pretty quick for a 1.6 :P I scrapped it around 8 months ago as it was becoming a little too unreliable, it had done 160 000 very harsh miles :) I...

NL Competitions - Didn't Make The Cut

Here is a picture of the first drop on my entry for the Bigger is Better competition. Obviously the drop would need a bit of custom supporting to make it structurally sound, but it gave a weird mix of positves, lats and airtime in the space of about 3 seconds :P

    Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin Water Coaster

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster How does it work with coasters like this? They both seem to have 'traditional' up stop wheels and wheel assemblies that would hit the water first. In the case of Vonkaputous, it looks like the boat never makes contact with the...

    Hersheypark |"Skyrush"| Intamin Mega

This may be completely wrong, but looking at my amazing representation of the structure, it is quite obvious that the weight of the lift and drop is spread over the two main lift supports, the one directly under the drop is under direct compression because the point where the support joins the...

Weird, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits

Re: Wierd, Wacky & Strange Coaster Bits There is a video here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xadypr ... ller_sport It shows him doing other crazy things like skating with model jet engines on his back, and skating down tripsdrills other coaster. It also shows the skates in a bit more...

    Thorpe Park |"The Swarm"| B&M Wing Coaster

Re: The Swarm - B&M 'Wing-Rider', Thorpe Park 2012 I almost came until I noticed that the wing is just a clever way to hide a trim! (someone had to say it lol)

Intamin Release Plans for 12-Inversion Coaster

Yes, I agree that a company would do it if enough money was involved, and I know it has happened before with manufacturers designing trains to run on existing track, but it doesn't normally happen the other way around. All I was saying to Xpress is that it is stating the obvious to say that...

Intamin Release Plans for 12-Inversion Coaster

I can't not agree, as it is stating the bloody obvious, nowhere in my post did I mention that you were wrong (which is a first, I'll admit) all I did say was that it was very unlikely that a manufacturer would want to design a track to run anothers trains, they COULD do it as its not very...

Intamin Release Plans for 12-Inversion Coaster

That is actually quite a silly statement, its like saying if B&M REALLY wanted to design a train for one of Intamins monorails, the COULD. Its kind of obvious that a roller coaster manufacturer would be able to design a train that is capable of running on a different track gauge, although I...

    Your favourite type of Architecture?

I do like some modern architecture, although I do despise buildings that are designed by people who have just done a 'Degree in Modern Architecture and Building Design' and believe its ok for everything they design to have a ****ing curved roof and ****ing 'textures' Some examples of this...

Awesome and cheap halloween shiz (how to)

Yes, I understand the white wire is simply a feedback loop to tell the computer how fast the fan is running, in the case of the fans you are describing you can run them off a DC supply but it requires alot more fiddling than you would ever want to do for something as crude as this. As...

Awesome and cheap halloween shiz (how to)

This isn't a smart arse comment, you are just blatently wrong. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5ZuaBO6j4k My battery was 12v and allowing for voltage drops though the electronic circuitry that I would put in place to control the speed it should give around 11.5V to the fan at maximum RPM.
