I couldn't say for sure. I think it would have been a tiny kids cred on the way to Cleethorpes, I seem to remember wanting to go to Pleasure Island but my parents refusing and then stopping off at this tiny field on the way home. All I remember is a patch of grass with a Ghost train and a...
I really can't decide between Hersheypark and Busch Gardens Europe.
I'm sure Knoebels and SFGAdv will be great too, but I can't imagine them beating the top two.
I have a vague memory of really enjoying a day at Alton Towers when I was young, my parents don't do theme parks so I didn't make it to another major park until about 10 years after. By that time AT had grown into some kind of magical place in my mind. For that reason I was pretty enthuiastic...
If there's a coaster I really want to go on then i'll head for that just to avoid dissapointment if it breaks down later in the day. Other than that I go for the ones which will have the biggest queue.
I love my cat Eddie to bits, every night when I get home from work he's in the window maowing, then when I walk in he jumps up on the kitchen side, puts his paws on my shoulders, rubs his face on my nose to give me a kiss, then lays over my shoulder for a cuddle.
His mad half hours (more like...
I wanna go back to Holiday World, can't see it happening for a few years though, i'd prefer to get to some new places first. After doing Pennsylvania and Virginia, i'll be planning to visit South East USA or Texas in a couple of years, also fancying a trip to the Spanish parks + Asterix and...
Good to see an inverted looper that isn't just made up of one inversion after another. Nice interaction with other parts of the track on the zero g and barrel rolls.
Personally I think this list is pretty much endless, the majority of coasters out there have little to no theming, even the ones that do have a theme could be improved in one way or another, if it's not there its generally because the park didn't believe it was a worthwhile investment and...
I feel like I've been in a drought, not of coasters alltogether, I've still managed to get to Alton and Thorpe this year. But the Last time I visited a decent new Park was Toverland and Heide park in April 2011, really enjoyed both parks but it was a short trip, waiting 14 months for this years...
Breakfast
Lunch
Tea/Dinner (they're interchangable but I normally call it tea, dinner sounds more formal . The only time I really use the word dinner is at Christmas or in the case of a Sunday dinner where you eat the main meal earlier in the day when its's not 'tea time'.
Supper is a rare...
More love for BPB's woodie from me.
Also, more hate for spinning mice.
I enjoy the Gerstlauer and Mack versions where the track is configured differently to make the hairpins longer (based on riding Gesengte Sau, Matterhorn Blitz and Dark Knight coaster)
Even then the hairpins are still the...
Re: Silver Dollar City |"Unknown"| Wooden Hybrid Coaster
I assume they're holes for a topper layer/rails to be bolted on to. They just look drilled in random places though :?
Does that mean you've already done Tyrolean Tubtwist? Or are you going with the theory that it's more like a river rapids without the water than a coaster? :P
I once wandered into Forbidden Valley chatting to a mate, but I faced forwards just as we were passing the chain link fence and Nemesis roared past, I nearly **** a brick and dove out of the way, then my mates and random passers by just pointed and laughed.
PMBO and Grand National, I used to really look forward to riding them, now PMBO seems boring for the most part and not very comfortable, Nash is just plain rough.
I'd almost say Colossus at Thorpe but that's probably because I rode it in the back of one of the cars and I couldn't move, I need...
I'm not saying any of them will run when its blowing a gale, but PMBO and Ice blast have never been shut when i've been at the park so I don't see why a windseeker couldn't operate for the majority of the season.
Also different manufacturers will have different operating guidance so you may...
Agreed. Is there a specific loaction that the Windseeker is rumoured for? Either way it seems like a waste and also a gamble if wind could be problematic.
