    Butterflys Are Not Roller Coasters

I believe you didn't read my post very well. As I said, one exception on the rules is okay and a ride can still be seen as a rollercoaster. Two exceptions and it is not. Nautic jets = shuttle and leaves the track = not a coaster Mack watercoaster = leaves the track = still a coaster New ride...

Parks with the best Steel/Wood coaster duo

Certainly not the best, but still worth the mention: Wodan and Silver Star/Blue Fire/Eurosat (pick your favorite). In terms of insane airtime machines: Grand National/revolution could work to.

Bad weather ruining a park trip

I went to the Londen Merlin parks for my first (and only) visit in march 2013. It snowed back then. Thorpe managed to open everything (except for the indoor coaster, down for refurbishment = genius!), Lego dito, but Chessington closed everything except for the 3 indoor rides (from which...

    Butterflys Are Not Roller Coasters

I agree that Bobkarts look less like a coaster, but they feel more coastery. I count Butterflys. I also count the Ghost Castle in Blackpool (But not the two sides of Grand National because that is ****). My reasoning: To be a rollercoaster, a ride has to follow all the following rules...

Lake Compounce | Phobia Phear Coaster | Premier Sky Rocket 2

Re: Lake Compounce 2016 I believe the only reason we as enthusiasts hate on boomerangs is that they are to common. If Europe had only one, it would be considered one if it's finest rides. + the one in Prater is not just good, it is great. What proves this rides can be a lot better with only...

Lake Compounce | Phobia Phear Coaster | Premier Sky Rocket 2

Re: Lake Compounce 2016 Those are becoming the new Boomerangs. I did the one in Holiday Park and thought it was just okay, but not great. When there are 40 of these in the world, every fan will hate them.

Parks that desperately need a new coaster

This park already has an amazing collection, one of Europe's best. The woodie is not too fast or high to scare away familys. I think this collection is just fine, almost perfect actually.

    Foire d'Arras, a while ago

it's been already two months ago, but I went to Foire d'Arras (which translates to fair of Arras I guess) by train because I needed the creds. Yes, unlike others who keep on making excuses about not being a "creditwhore", I actually admit it. The trainrides where long, but cheap enough. If I...

Parks that desperately need a new coaster

True, but when Bobbejaanland builds a new coaster (this won't happen the next few years), it will be crap anyway so no thanks :D.

Jinan PTR - Part 2: Oriental Heritage

This park actually looks really good, with quite a lot decent rides. I would be lost between all the darkrides, shows and 4D rides, are they all worth the wait?

    Rank the B&M coaster types

From what I have ridden so far: 1) Flyers. My favorite B&M is Nemesis, but Air comes second very closely. 2) Inverteds (vary from great to meh, but usually great 3) Floorless (Only ridden Superman) 4) Hypers (Only ridden Silver Star, which I think is OK 5) Dive Machines (Krake is a nice ride...

Parks that desperately need a new coaster

Moviepark Germany. One of the leading parks in Germany, their best coaster is about 20 feet high.

    Your nearest coaster

Close tie between the Butterfly and Disco Twister in Mega Speelstad. Right now there is a fair in Antwerp with three credits only about 2 miles from my place, but I guess those don't matter in the discussion.

    Do you ride kiddie coasters?

I went to Clarence pier with a coaster group 2 months ago, we got denied on our first try to but managed to convince the ops. Yes, I ride kiddiecoasters and even travel a few hours to ride them. I see no problem with that, I like to discover new places and travelling by train. the +1's are...

Jinan PTR - Part 2: Oriental Heritage

Re: Jinan PTR - Part 1: Euro Park I keep on reading these trip reports, thanks for posting! The regular parks (without any rides) in China look extremely nice. Are their actually many references to Europe through the park? The entrance looks like a gothic Sagrada Família, but otherwise?

    Most Anticipated Projects by Season

Only including Europe: 2013: Should have been Chiapas, but eventually Smiler. 2014: Helix 2015: Cu Culain, the dive machine's we know already from Heide and Alton and I'm not a big Gerst fan. + it looks awesome 2016: so far, Wildfire.

    Austria 2015: Familypark Neusiedlersee

Familypark is amazing. Went there two months ago (by bus from Vienna, which was like the final instalment of Mission Impossible) and had a great time. No standout rides, but the place feels magical and very friendly. Thanks for the Report!

    Austria 2015: Familypark Neusiedlersee

Re: Austria 2015: Wiener Prater Part 2 I'm just guessing here, But I don't think they will make an issue of it. Even one client means money. Me and my boyfriend got "private rides" in almost all the coasters (except for Boomerang, which ran with 4 guests) Will there be another part? Some of...

Top 10 Individual Moments of Airtime?

Not really a top ten: *Devil's Mine, Fort Fun, Backseat first drop. Insane! *Wild Train, Parc Saint Paul, Backseat First Drop. *Revolution, Blackpool. What the hell? *Helix, Liseberg the last hill. right after the inverted tophat. wow. *Superwhirbel, Holiday Park. Not exactly massive airtime...
