The ride is not going as part of a long-term plan. The decision to remove was only made extremely recently, after maintenance costs just got too much.

They have a modern woodie, so Oakwood's experience with maintenance should be better than similar-sized steel-only parks.

Modern woodies are great as they are, leave them alone.

I've been to Thorpe around a dozen times and never known Slammer to be down for an entire visit, except the most recent one. I don't know what I want to happen with the ride. It isn't mind-blowing, but I guess it's alright. The feeling of 'swatting' the sky when going forwards is quite fun.
