Re: This is a long shot, but.... (rumoured woodie for Drayto
Another low throughput coaster is NOT what Drayton needs. G-Force's throughput is abysmal, and Shockwave's is pretty dire considering the capacity of trains and the length of the track. Ben 10 is also very poor.
They need something...

The original tweet from Marcus Gaines, which was edited out in the first post of the thread for some reason.

Re: Wallace and Gromit dark ride @ BPB 2012
Hmmmm, the possibility of a coaster replacing Gold Mine?
Admittedly it's a long shot, but putting those two together could equal Gold Mine being turned into something like this, a hybrid coaster/dark ride.
Re: This is a long shot, but.... (rumoured woodie for Drayto
I think the "England" comment could be likely be just the usual interchanging of "UK" with "England". I doubt we'll see a woodie outside England however.
I think you bring up an interesting point with Paultons. Tripsdrill in Germany...
What on earth is the point of this topic?
Especially when the choices seem completely arbitrary. Is it meant to be "What is the best UK mine train?"
In which case it's obviously Alton's, as it's the only one with a custom layout, whilst the other two are both cheap figure-of-8 layouts. Even in...
Re: This is a long shot, but.... (rumoured woodie for Drayto
Not recently, but ten years ago they even drew up concept art and a layout from Vekoma!
So where are the other two woodies for the UK going then? Someone on TTF pointed out that one could be the re-opened Margate Scenic Railway...
Re: This is a long shot, but.... (rumoured woodie for Drayto
Whaaaaaaaaa...?!?!
How come no-one's even mentioned the second part of Marcus' tweet?!
Three new woodies?! One for Drayton, one for Flamingoland, one for... Lightwater? Oakwood? Thorpe? This is news to me!
Shorter trains as well.
iSpeed and Maverick both have three cars and six rows. Accelerators tend to have five cars and ten rows, though there are some exceptions (Kanonen has four cars, Senzafiato has three cars)
The Flying Dutchman at Efteling.
Originally built by notoriously crap company Kumbak Coasters. Opened nearly a year later after the park had to call in Intamin to fix the ride as Kumbak had bodged it so badly. You know you're a crap company when a park calls in Intamin to fix one of your rides.
When I was at Thorpe a few weeks ago, Slammer was clearly knackered. It failed to reach the top on the first attempt, needing a reset. And then on the way down after the ride, it seriously banged into the bottom, causing it to bounce a lot and made a loud noise.
Also the ride is gash anyway...
It's not good at all. It's completely unprofessional, and downright lying. If it was a genuine attempt to accommodate more disabled guests, then "The reality is that we are super-sizing" would not be an appropriate comment. This kind of BS makes British enthusiasts the laughing stock of the...
Re: 60m Drop Tower for Pleasurewood Hills...Approved!
Presumably it's the one at Karolinelund that closed in 2010, as detailed in this topic.
Not a gyro drop then! :(
Mack.
Intamin are dangerous and now insist on putting OTSRs on everything. It's backwards and the wrong way for the industry to go.
The Blue Fire ride system is the most perfect every created in history. Absolutely incredible, mind blowing ride system. Lap restraints with inversions is the way...
