    Best and worst names

^^ Mantis was supposed to be Banshee aswell wasn't it? So I suppose that could be excused. My two pet hates are Rita and Stealth, purely because I remember Project Rita, and the dissapointment when the name was announced, and then EXACTLY the same happening with Project Stealth. Gutted.

    Oakwood rumours

I went for the first time last year and loved it, but, as people are saying, it is WAY out of the way, especialy being in Cleethorpes, it was a right hike to the other side of the country. Theme for Speed I feel would be a waste. For the type of park Oakwood is, I think themeing Speed would be...

    Best Horror Mazes in London?

I've just bought tickets for the London Bridge Experience. I've heard it's awesome, so I'd highly recommend a visit if you're off on a trip. It's a bit pricey, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

    Longest gap between coasters

I've got it, and actually enjoyed it quite a bit! Nice cheeky litttle beast. That Ferris Wheel goes suprisingly fast too, but it is all a bit crap. Read the thread Jay! It's a bit concerning that, as far as we can gather, Pleasure Island is the park to go the longest without getting a coaster...

    Port Aventura |"Shambhala"| B&M Hyper

Re: [Rumour] 2012 B&M for Port Aventura Nah it'll be fine. I went to Canada's Wonderland in August the year before Behemoth was built and all they were doing was groundclearing. I expect footers will start popping up late September/ October time. But then again, it is Spain.

    Smoothest Vekoma ever

Without a doubt, Expedition Everest. Non-Disney, Millenium Coaster. It's so smooth it's boring.

    Biggest Failure

You just need to look at the effect that Jubilee Odyssey had on Fantasy Island. Before the ride, we were seeing frequent, decent investment and the park was developing at an impressive rate. After Jubilee Odyssey, the park has been transformed, and any attraction that has that effect on a park...

    Paultons Vouchers

Ahh cheers Ian thank you very much mate. Interesting how they take a completely opposite approach to say the Merlin parks, where they want people to come across their vouchers and give them a reason to visit, and it is actually unusual to pay full entry. Shows how much that scheme has affected...

    Paultons Vouchers

Just wondered if anybody knows of any way to get discounted entry into Paultons? Apparently you can't use clubcard vouchers, so we actually have to pay to go to a park this time. The best price I can find is the online discount of £19.50, any cheaper alternatives would be greatly appreciated!

Rides that look different to how they ride

La Ronde's Corkscrew, so smooth and it doesn't look it at all. Bit similar to Millenium Coaster at Fantasy Island I suppose. Mean Streak I thought looked awesome, fell for that one big time. Xcelerator too I suppose, was not expecting that much airtime at the top of that top hat, especially...

    Home park and proud?

Pleasure Island! And I absolutley love it. Am I proud to call it my home park? More nervous due to its uncertain recent past it has encountered. Personally, I love it, but that is only because it is my home park. If it was anywhere else I know I'd say it was ****, but it's not anywhere...

    Port Aventura |"Shambhala"| B&M Hyper

Re: [Rumour] 2012 B&M for Port Aventura ^Sounds pretty standard I guess when you look at all the other hypers about. About bloody time! Port Aventura rarely seems to get new attractions, but when it does it's more than worth it. Not sure if this alone will be worth a visit. Only time will...

Stand Up floored or Stand Up floorless drop towers?

Re: Stand Up floored or Stand Up floorless? Without a doubt floored. Floorless is painful and, similar to furie's point, when your floorless I think you subconscienciously think you'll be okay because you're feet are below you, so if you fell you would land on your feet. I know you would die...

I'll do this when I have time. I'm pretty sure The Ultimate will be first. My Top 10 seems to change all the time depending on what moon I'm in.

    Formula 1™ Topic

Man I'm doing pretty crap in the league. Teach me for choosen Sutil and Alonso. I friggin' hate Alonso, AND Ferrai, why did I choose him? I liked the race, thought it was a bit more eventful then Melbourne. Still, Vettel's a ****.

    Port Aventura |"Shambhala"| B&M Hyper

It's about time rumours starting popping around for PA, this place has gone way too long without a serious investment. It interwining with Dragon Kahn to me sounds a bit off. I would like to see it happen, but can't see why they would. Still, would be cool! Something to market I guess...

Who is the most innovative rollercoaster manufacturer?

Gotta go for Intamin just for the fact that they offer so much. Vekoma offer a lot as well, but nobody seems to be willing to experiment with their variety, we'll say.

Alton Towers | The Smiler | Gerstlauer Infinity

^ Well she was saying how whenever Merlin does research on woodies the general response from the public is that they're unsafe, uncomfortable and, as you said, old fashioned. She actually said she would love to have a woodie because it would have the worlds longest drop on a wooden...
