    Drop Towers

I've only done Huracan Condor and Apocalypse, so can't speak for the other drop towers. I find sit down to be the most intense element on Apocalypse. You get some pretty incredible airtime. Stand up floored is the same, yet you also have the added factor of standing on a metal plate, which...

So, what do you use? Electric for me! You can't beat that deep clean feeling

    Clothes: Comfort or Fashion?

Comfort, definitely. Saying that, I do know how to dress effectively and look good.

    Your rollercoaster name

Jolt Blaster! Sounds like a rickety Zamperla on some old pier

How often do you get drunk?

Not very often these days...maybe once every few months? I used to be a hardcore drinker, but just became bored of the whole getting drunk thing. I suffered my first hangover the day after my last birthday, and it wasn't pretty.

    Stand-up coasters hurt!

From someone who's done Shockwave over 100 times now, I find the best way to ride a stand up coaster is to hold on very tight and force your feet against the floor. If you can just keep your feet flat on the floor, it shouldn't be too painful.

    Track "seperates" on The Smiler

*EDIT* Oh, I see where the confusion is creeping in here. Perhaps I should have worded my earlier post better. The point I was trying to get across was that both parks were the first to introduce a new ride concept. These parks will always be associated (from the public's point of view) with...

Views That Take Your Breath Away

The view from the top of Oblivion is stunning. Great view of the park and Med from much of Shambhala's layout

    Track "seperates" on The Smiler

Re: Track Er, yes. Alton will always be famous as the park which houses the first dive machine concept, the same as everyone now associates the UK wing rider with Thorpe. You know exactly what I mean, don't be difficult. MouseAT - unless Alton do a lot of digging, where would they stick a...

    "Now Showing"

Went to see The Conjuring recently and thought it was a load of rubbish. A silly storyline with predictable shock moments. 5/10

    Track "seperates" on The Smiler

That'd be pointless! Wing riders need a drop of sufficient height if the layout is to be thrilling. Besides, Thorpe have the exclusivity on the wing rider, like Alton has with the dive machine...

    Reprofiled Steel Coasters

Yep, and I believe the turnaround was also reprofiled at one point, due to severe banking?

Things you hate when people say to you.

What Furie said :P I don't know, "mate" is just so personal and familiar. It's not the way to address strangers or customers. I don't have any problem whatsoever with people calling me duck, bab, love etc.

    Blackpool PTR - 18-19/7/2013

Oh yes! I was disappointed that I didn't get to do Valhalla actually, but the queue was bad all day, and I didn't want to wait for one water ride when there were three coasters within the vicinity. I didn't know the PMBO had new trains. If that's what the ride feels like now, I can't...

Best themed area at Alton Towers

Katanga Canyon beats any other area as far as themeing is concerned. The huge lagoon and carefully selected foliage really create an atmosphere, and then you have the interaction of the Mine Train and Rapids <3 Even now the theme tune still fills me with great excitement. Other areas in order...

    Blackpool PTR - 18-19/7/2013

The Blackpool attractions have been on my “must do” list for a while now. It had been years since I’d last visited the Pleasure Beach, so was pretty excited to experience the rides from an enthusiast point of view. This is quite long (sorry) Day one - BPB Setting off early on a hot, hazy...
