I love coasters so there's not really any elements I hate, as long as a coaster is reasonably smooth any element is fine. I don't like vertical lift hills if they count as an elememt however they are good because they allow coasters to gain height withn minimal space usage.
The only good thing Merlin would have to offer if they took over a park is millions upon millions in cash. If Merlin took over BPB for example they'd probably scrap the amazing Mack launch coaster they're getting for a world's first VR dark ride suspended over water.
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
In his defense at least he's active, he'll get better eventually I'm sure! A good 3/4 of new people here pop up like "Hi I'm X and this is my fave coaster and park" and make one or two other posts before dissappearing forever.
Re: Flamingo Land Coast - New plans revealed for UK Indoor P
I think this could be a great thing, this will be able to open through Britains long, horrible winters and rainy days because its indoors! But since its Flamingoland doing this, I wouldn't expect them to make any ride/coaster choices...
I'd have to go with the one about the first inversion too closely followed by Paultons vs Chessington, that's a good theme park battle because they're pretty closely matched quality wise.
So, restraints from lap bars to OTSRs have one purpose: to make sure when the ride/coaster comes to a stop, you're still in it! But have you ever wondered how much force it would take to open one mid ride? I'm sure they're designed so even if Dwayne the Rock Johnson pushed with all his might it...
I'm almost certain in that shed it'll be a blast of air and a drop track, they're clearly copying 13 and Verbolten with the theme. Keeping it secret is stupid and unnecessary imo (unless its something original!). This looks better than 13 and Bolt and of course its the first time a drop track...
Ben is right, it will be a while before the next coaster because DBGT cost as much as a giga coaster. Hoping it will be a B&M hyper or RMC when the time comes, we already have the fabulous Oblivion at the Towers and Thorpe has Saw the Ride (a coaster that emphasises its straight-down drop) so no...
Anyone know what the VR video is for this? Hopefully not that alien invasion dogfight that Six Flags have been using, the graphics on that are about Nintendo Wii quality!
A DM would be a very silly choice, we already have Oblivion. Wood would be good (chain lift hill not launch pls) though my prefered choice would be something like Skyrush or Flying Aces.
Its pretty much confirmed to be a GCI woodie, possibly with a launch. But you're right, they're desperate for flats. At the moment, I believe the only open flat rides that are suitable for adults are the teacups, chairswing, Blade and Enterprise. I think the rest is the stuff in C Beebies land
Megafobia and Speed should be evacuated to any competent park that has the room for them. Both look like great coasters! I believe that coaster they bought is the same as Wicksteed's which I've ridden numerous times over the years, its a real back smasher.
This park is certain to close forever now. There's no chance this dump will be able to afford the legal fees and bounce back from the damaged reputation. Unlike The Smiler, I can't see this being put back in operation, it will be demolished since its 15 yrs old and made by a manufacturer that...
