    Alton Tower Busses

To be honest, I have no idea who to ask! I could share a taxi with you, but I have no idea when I'm going to go, only that I'd like to visit Alton Towers and Blackpool in the same trip Kind of off topic, but Erasmus sounds great, I am going on international exchange later this year, am so...

    Alton Tower Busses

You should ask around, maybe someone else visiting at the same time could give you a lift or share a taxi ride.:) I've seen coach trips from Aberdeen, where I live, but I don't fancy spending that long on a coach. Also if I was travelling all that way I'd want to visit more than just Alton towers

    Alton Tower Busses

I was there last year, visited Plopsaland, Bobbejaanland, Antwerp and the Atomium all while staying in Brussels. Really enjoyed it and can't fault the transport at all, much better than our trains and busses. As someone who will never be able to drive, bad public transport is an issue I feel...

    Alton Tower Busses

I'm hoping to visit Alton Towers and Blackpool, most likely on my own, so taxi might be too expensive. Hopefully they will release the bus times soon. May be worth paying extra for the taxi, to enjoy opening and closing when the park is quieter. It sucks that in Europe Bobbejaanland has a...

    New rides @ small parks

Ive seen a few parks like this. I know Brighton Pier does it. I wish they could just use Android Pay instead, so you don't have to load up the card first, and likely end up with unspent money on it at the end

Wild Mouse at BPB Closure - R.I.P. 1958-2017

That's actually really surprising, and good customer service, that they took the time to write that for you. I've made many enquiries to parks, with rather mixed success. Disappointing, but again at least they took the time. I guess the Mouse at Blackpool was also in too poor a condition, and...

Ankara, Turkey | Wonderland Eurasia | Theme Park

I always thought of Turkey as European. Not sure if this counts for anything but you can buy an interrail pass for turkey.

Rides at Buffalo Bill's Casino closed until further notice

The website still says they are closed until further notice, does it say that every year? TBH I gave up reading Screamscape because of how awful it is on mobile.

    The Maccy D's Thread.

Good job going vegan! I went vegetarian two years ago but I tell myself I'm not going vegan until most restaurants/fast food shops have something. I'm sure McDonalds never had a veggie burger before. We're making progress!

    The Maccy D's Thread.

Yeah UK food industry is stricter than the United States, I didn't realise our Fanta was the wrong colour until I visited Florida, apparently the colouring is banned in the UK Luckily I've never been stuck with nothing to eat yet - even at a chip shop I order chips and beans:)

    The Maccy D's Thread.

Wow, I never realised McD's have a vegetarian menu, last I heard even the chips weren't vegetarian! Worth remembering in case the only restaurant choice was McDonalds

Dragon Mountain - is it really 186 feet tall?

That photo makes it look just like the Ultimate. One of my favourite roller coasters!

Roughly when did we see a transition from old B&M to new B&M?

Kumba felt much snappier to me than Kraken, both 7 inversion coasters. But my sample size of 11 is too small for me to notice any trend. I don't think there is a fine line when B&M became "new school".

    Your On-Site Hotel Count?

Two - Drayton Manor hotel (like any other hotel really) Splash Landings (on a school trip, was fun) Usually they're too expensive so I wouldn't consider them

Dragon Mountain - is it really 186 feet tall?

Even that title ought to go to Steel Dragon 2000. Although if your going by land area I have no idea which is larger. That makes more sense

Dragon Mountain - is it really 186 feet tall?

Yep looks just like the coasters I would build. I need to get back into openRCT! Also my computer might be powerful enough to build the huge RCT3 parks that I tried to make 10 years ago. It's so weird, as you said the video says 186 feet but it never really leaves the ground from what I can see.

Energylandia | Hyperion | Intamin Hyper coaster

I'm so excited to see it open! RCDB says it will open in 2018, I sure hope it does as I fancy a trip to Poland this year

Dragon Mountain - is it really 186 feet tall?

RCDB lists Dragon Mountain at MarineLand as 186 feet tall, but I looked at Google Maps and it's built on a hill. None of the track looks high up. If it is indeed 186 feet tall, that makes it the tallest (full-circuit) roller coaster in the world until Magnum opened at Cedar Point. To anyone...

    WTF Merlin?

Just read on Towers Street Facebook that they have gone back on their decision to an extent, with all rides now to be open by 11

Bobbejaanland to open a second VR coaster

I admit, I would have enjoyed the Mount Mata VR had the video been less jittery. If they can resolve the issue it will improve what is otherwise a boring ride. I think VR done right could be great. I liked Bobbejaanland but it desperately needs a new coaster. At the moment Plopsaland beats it...
