Re: Fantasy Island (UK) Updates
^ Nah it's the old drive through restaurant round the other side of the park.
Apparently Odyssey's station is being enclosed because they're installing heaters by the track to keep the wheels warm whilst it's sitting dormant.
Haha I've checked a couple of times this morning.
Their website says that it's due to open for Easter, so whilst that good as it sort of confirms it as a ride, it's also can't be anything major if it's going up in like 3 weeks.
I drove past at the weekend (didn't know of this then) and I...
Gt Yarmouth Pleasure Beach have said on Facebook that there will be an announcement tomorrow (Wednesday) for a major new attraction coming to the PB.
The use of the word 'attraction' isn't filling me with joy, but you never know.
I see the Rock 'n' Roller coaster is now closed until like the end of June. What's the plan for that? Seems a bit too long for just the usual maintenance.
That is just going to be......... unrideable. The train will be travelling at around 90mph over that section of track. Saw is painful enough without any visible track bends.
The Ultimate could have a new rival here....Can't wait to see it testing
Re: Fantasy Island (UK) Updates
Odyssey is looking good, also looks like they're enclosing the station:
Mouse coaster being reconstructed near the Odyssey:
It's not a bad idea really, gives people something different to do if they stay in the hotels.
BUT, £33 each will work out more expensive than park entry with a BOGOF.
The Parc has confirmed new track, new journey and more speed!
I'm surprised they're keeping the name the same, if they're going to to this much effort (installing a new coaster an a...), they should at least go full whack on it being a new experience.
^ That's the 2017/18 project, this is just a kiddie cred that's going to be ready for April 2016.
Could be that the track is being refurbed, or they're doing a Plopsa and getting a new copy of the old coaster.
Parc Astèrix put up this on Facebook today:
"SOS Numèrobis Getting back on the right track. Discover the new route from April 2nd 2016"
It looks like the cred has been completely removed, meaning a new one is on it's way?
