@Rollercoaster David that would be an epic idea…. I have always loved the idea of having an Ankh Morpork street with rides build within…. Sod hogwarts have the unseen university tower as the areas focal point.
Also you would have to have a clax tower there somewhere.
Tallest: Red Force 368ft Port Aventura
Fastest: Red Force 111mph Port Aventura
Longest: The Ultimate 7442ft Lightwater Valley
Steepest: Saw 100 degrees Thorpe Park
Most Inversions: Smiler Alton Towers 14
Oldest: Big Dipper Blackpool 1923
I tell you what….. this is riveting!
However I am looking forward to seeing if this is proof of concept for their new gen tilt. Thanks for the pics @mrrc
I am pretty sure that they would take any minimal warping of timber after a year or so when they design the ride…..
I’m sure the park are just as keen to get the ride open
I can think of Palace Pier in Brighton…. Their last caster was 2000 I think (Wild Mouse) I know for a fact that the guys are pushing for replacements but I can’t see any new coasters for a long time. Well with the managing company buying Lightwater Valley and all that.
I think the claim can still stand as the original lift mechanism is the original and the layout has not changed.
What old wooden coaster do you know that has any original wood left. It’s the fact that the layout, mechanism and experience is the same as when it was first built.
I’m in the camp...
@Matt N what planet are you on? You’re optimism is going in overdrive. If they are making money out of expensive chocolate, the majority of that money would go into....... well the chocolate side of the business.
yes they are building an attraction but expecting a top end coaster is just far...
Yeah sounds like you have a P3 mask, they are for large particles I.e dust and things like that, not bacterial particles. It’s not going to stop all viruses if any.
Money runs out, it’s too bloody hot over there and their tight rules and customs and lastly the local culture obviously does not warrant such demand. Not a good combo for a world theme park destination.
