    Phantasialand | F. L. Y. | Vekoma Launched Flying Coaster | 2020

Don't worry. As the riders have to pass through a metal detector the first POV will be from the park. That will most likely appear as suddenly as the ride opened.

    Phantasialand | F. L. Y. | Vekoma Launched Flying Coaster | 2020

Acronyms are using the first letters by definition. And acronyms don't use dots. Some definitions say that acronyms have to make up a speakable word. So... F.L.Y. isn't an acronym even though it could easily be one. Oh... it's a joke... my bad... ? Still curious what the Y actually stands for...

    Just Another Germany Trip Report– August 2020 {Day 5 - Schwaben Park}

But actually it's "blue fire Megacoaster powered by Nord Stream 2" as it is shown on the beautiful new logo. (ugly af) I didn't know you can enter the launch area. Quite cool. Have to look for this place on my next visit. But it's "WODAN – Timburcoaster"... ;) Thanks for the cool pics and the...

    Phantasialand | F. L. Y. | Vekoma Launched Flying Coaster | 2020

I think this was on regulating the flow of people. Of course it‘d be by far too late if it was about the normal situation. This was done in planning. But the area was not designed with Covid in mind. Especially with a new area that will be the most interesting part of the park for all visitors...

    Eurodemption: Summary

? I really like Karacho and in my ranking it's definitely higher than Hals über Kopf. Some of the maneuvers are really tight like the dive loop and the launch has some force to it. Yeah... the helix after the MCBR is a bit slow but if it went any faster the tight transition to the dive loop...

    Coronavirus: Impact on Theme Parks

@Nicky Borrill No, it wasn't meant as a correction. I just think the numbers are good but not amazing and even though I see the progress I'm not yet as enthusiastic as you are. But I didn't have the time to read the full articles so thanks for the quote with the more promising numbers and the...

    Coronavirus: Impact on Theme Parks

It depends. You'll always have some arbitrary handling there. But of course it's better to look at smaller regions than states. The EU is more or less kind of one big country. And as far as I know from the German standpoint only parts of France are considered at risk and forcing you into...

Universal IoA | Jurassic World VelociCoaster | Intamin Blitz | 2021

There are glass windows that hold back tons of water in zoos. I think it's possible to have glass windows that are raptor proof.

    Phantasialand | F. L. Y. | Vekoma Launched Flying Coaster | 2020

And they thank coasterworld.fr (which actually is coastersworld.fr - that took me a while) But there you can find the second page of the letter, as well. https://forum.coastersworld.fr/coasters-europeens/(phantasialand)-flying-coaster-vekoma-en-2018/msg362760/#msg362760 I spent some time...

Movie Park Germany | Movie Park Studio Tour | Intamin Multi Dimension Coaster | 2021

The choice of not too fast or intense launches was already done with the selection of Mack as manufacturer. Star Trek is definitely a thrill ride. The inversions offer quite a bit of hang time. If you ask me that's not the best for little timmys first inverting roller coaster. But after all...

Movie Park Germany | Movie Park Studio Tour | Intamin Multi Dimension Coaster | 2021

Those trains feature a rotating base, if I'm not mistaken. That'd not be necessary for this ride with a turntable.

Movie Park Germany | Movie Park Studio Tour | Intamin Multi Dimension Coaster | 2021

Here's the product page of the Multi Dimension Coaster at Intamin's page. They list Darkmare and Th13teen but show an image of Escape from Gringotts, as well. A single wagon of that has 12 seats. As the coaster at Movie Park will feature a 360° turntable and a focus on multi media content I...

    Phantasialand | F. L. Y. | Vekoma Launched Flying Coaster | 2020

I'm not sure about that. At least the expansion area won't be part of the theme park. The documents say there'd be a water park and event locations. I don't know if the expansion plans said anything about the parking lot which is already owned by the park though. I always wished Phantasialand...

    Flamingo Land | Sik | Intamin 10 Inversion Coaster | 2022

Well there are ways around that. Disney for example supposedly (didn't verify myself) doesn't actually use US flags. The flags are all missing a star or a stripe. This way they don't have to follow the regulations which would include times to half-mast the flag.

A park with the best and worst coaster in one!

I'm not sure if you're kidding or if you didn't understand what @Rupert meant. He says he's taking the title literally and says that Lightwater Valley has the best and worst coaster in one: The Ultimate. But I'm pretty sure you're just joking.

    Phantasialand | F. L. Y. | Vekoma Launched Flying Coaster | 2020

He's not really talking about the parks capacity but about the capacity with the current Corona restrictions. With these restritctions the capacity is mostly about space. The parks normal capacity is much higher. On the day of the Gebirgsbahn fire in 2001 there were about 20.000 people in the park.

Where is the dry water ride category headed in the near future?

I'm pretty sure that that this has been thought of. The German TÜV signed the ride off. I'm pretty certain you won't die on it that easily :)
