Eek I got spited by the old twin looper back in 2018, I'm returning this September (mostly for Zadra of course) and now I'm worried I'll get my first ever double spite 😬.
Like you say it's hardly going to be great but I remember watching it run at the American Adventure when I was a kid and...
Doesn't the Shanghai Pirates do something like this?
That's clearly the boat from Moana, and with Moana 2 coming out later this year it would make sense for them to roll out some Moana boat rides, my 3yo would love it.
Sure it's for kids, but a lot of those kids will have just ridden Hagrid's and/or Expedition Everest, maybe even Tron in the same week and this will seem incredibly dull in comparison. 😔
I did put this in the small news topic a couple of days ago but I guess it got lost:

But yeah 5 months is too long to be explained by a launch cable replacement or any other maintenance activity...
I just noticed that according to rcdb, Formula Rossa has been SBNO since 22nd January:

The Ferrari World website confirms that it is closed until further notice:

More trouble for the super-fast roller...
We've had this a few times before but the last full-on poll was before Icon and (sobs) the demolition of Wild Mouse so probably due a refresh!
Anyway it's Grand National for me - pure balls-to-the-wall classic wooden coaster fun. Yeah it beats you up a bit but it's a small price to pay. The...
I think Nemesis will always be my number zero coaster, and it has been my UK number 1 since I first rode it 20 years ago, but yep Hyperia is definitely a cut above.
Good spot, in full:
Which translates as:
This is a genuine surprise to me, I had expected it to eventually get new trains and reopen - it will not be easy to disentangle it from Twister, Kvasten and most of all the Wild Mouse so it will be interesting to see how they cope with this. As a...
Luckily we were allowed out of the queue to go to the loo! Had to make do with ice cream and crisps for lunch though as that's all they had at the queue line kiosk 😅.
It's for the "I was there" moment really, and to enjoy the sense of occasion. I wouldn't have knowingly joined a 6.5 hour queue, but I was with a good friend and the time passed quite pleasantly.
It could be another 30 years before we get a ride of this scale on our little island, so I am proud...
It had multiple periods of downtime but never more than about 10 mins at a time, nothing unexpected for opening day really.
If I had known it would be that long I think I would have given it a miss, but it's done now, got my certificate, so no point complaining 😅.
I got here at 08:30 and got on around 3pm, so 6.5 hours of queueing. Worth it 😁.
It's always hard to judge off a single ride of course, but it was everything I had hoped for - smooth, intense, floaty and insane.
Don't worry the Coasterforce think tank has already been working hard on this:

Interesting rumour; the only park I could really picture getting this would be M&D's which is currently lacking any big coasters, and the ones it used to have were so bad* that this would actually look like a terrific ride for them, and be the best coaster (ever?) in Scotland. That would be bad...
