Europa’s advertised queue times are far from infallible, though. Admittedly this is only based on a sample size of 3 days, but looking through my trip report from Europa in 2022, I can see at least a few queue times that were either overstated or understated.
On one day, Atlantica was...
Just to let everyone know, I've now added in links to the spreadsheets, as I realise that the media embeddings I attempted weren't working. View my data at your pleasure!
Out of interest, moderators, is there a problem with Google Sheet embedding on here now? I swear I used to be able to embed...
I don't mean to come across as combative, and I apologise if I do, but if you don't mind me politely asking; why exactly have you come to a roller coaster forum to ask this question? I understand the need to conduct market analysis, but surely there are many far more representative samples you...
Hi guys. Here in the UK, we have a wide smorgasbord of different theme parks, distributed up and down the country. From the major Merlin parks like Alton Towers and Thorpe Park to the smaller independent players like Paultons Park and Flamingo Land, there’s a lot of choice in the UK. But for...
That’s a sound theory, I think. Psychology dictates that people will be happier if they wait less than expected than if they wait more than expected.
On the note of SeaWorld, their two Florida parks were interesting for advertised queue times. At Busch, I noticed that the app and the ride...
Disclaimer: This is a long, geeky post. If you don't like statistics or maths talk, turn back now! If you'd like a more concise summary, a TL;DR can be found at the bottom.
Hi guys. When you go to a park, you will often see advertised queue times all over the place to help you determine how long...
It appears that a 10 minute lift hill stoppage on Sunday made the news and has unfortunately been reported as the ride “breaking again”: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/uks-tallest-rollercoaster-hyperia-grinds-33304243
I know that this was only a minor stoppage that was resolved quickly...
Interesting… I do wonder if the Democrats might have a better chance of beating Trump now that Biden is out of the picture.
I reckon Kamala Harris is probably most likely to become the Democrat candidate, seeing as she’s the Vice President and has Biden’s endorsement, but I’m unsure if she’s...
This ride has had a rather rocky time at Indiana Beach so far, hasn't it?
I think they need to install anti-rollbacks on that lift hill as a matter of urgency, and I'm stunned that they didn't after it happened the first time. The fact that the ride has slid down the lift hill at least twice...
Whatever this is, would it probably have been commissioned as one of the last Six Flags projects before the merger?
I’m guessing that we probably won’t get a taste of what Six Flags/Cedar Fair’s combined CAPEX ethos is until 2026 or later.
I’m glad you enjoyed Mahuka @HeartlineCoaster!
Out of interest, did you find it rattly? I’ve heard a lot of people say that the Intamin Hot Racers are more rattly and uncomfortable than the RMC equivalent.
Out of pure curiosity, I’d be curious to know; is there anyone else on here who hasn’t ridden Hyperia yet?
I only ask because it feels like everyone and their dog has ridden it now, but I’m not able to get on it for another month…
