    A Knightmare for Camelot

Being your local Camelot know-it-all, heres the rope; Knightmare has been running poorly this week since the start of the season, it did infact valley on Saturday morning, really early on and was salvaged before Noon, it was in the same place too, iirc. It also did it a couple of times at...

    Unusually extreme rides???

Last day of the season at Camelot last year, Knightmare was just off it's head. There were no trims on or anything and despite having rode it about 100 times, it was ridiculously forceful - more so than ever before. Actually really dangerous and not enjoyable.

Even more B&M track has sprouted in Ohio

Anaconda is actually a hugely impressive coaster, it's like a B&M but so forceful it's unreal, definitely in my top 5.

    Gullivers MK PTR

So, I borrowed two small children (nephews, Brad, 8 and Dan,6) and headed down to Gullivers MK for the first time! :O Few new credits. :D Weather was really sunny, so I couldn't miss the chance. It's basically 2 mins from Central MK and right next to Willen Lake, so we decided to first...

Even more B&M track has sprouted in Ohio

Tell me, why the **** would they manufacture a coaster for Europe, in America, when B&M have their own European plant in Switzerland? The only options it really leaves is the America's, and Asia.

Parque de Atracciones, Tibidabo, and Parc Asterix

Those PdA photos bring back memories of last year :D It looks like they've done alot of cleaning up over the winter. I went in September and found that the place was dirty, awful operations and stuff, with things like fountains and affects on rides not working. Looks like they've spent alot...

    New(ish) Pleasureland Southport PTR

Looking at the first few pictures once you were in the place, e.g. Spaceman entrance sign, dinosaur, new grassy area, water chute in the background and the really good looking pirate ship I thought 'wow, looks far better than previous couple of years!' Then, I got to the little black and...

    Camelot Theme Park saved

'Mixed residential use' doesn't sound too promising in the future, and we kinda already knew it would open this season anyway. I also recieved this press release yesterday afternoon, just like AeRo did. Good news, but I can't see them making the place a successful theme park after this...

    Lightwater Valley - Construction Updates

It may be more of a drive, but I'll definitely become a LWV regular if Knightmare pops up there. The Ultimate and Knightmare - two of the best coasters in the country. ****ing brilliant. :D having said that, if Knightmare is announced for LWV I suppose that really IS the end for my beloved...

Camelot Theme Park Goes Into Receivership

Dragon Flyer won't be saved, especially since its such a spread out ride. Log Flume can and will die. Excalibur will end up on the fair circuit The Rack will hopefully die, and probably will Whirlwind wil end up on the fair circuit Knightmare, unless bought by LWV, will unfortunately...

Camelot Theme Park Goes Into Receivership

I think they probably mean smaller rides Furie, and things on travelling bases e.g the kiddie rides, tea cups etc. Excalibur's on a temporary frame, as are loads of other small major rides too at the park.

Camelot Theme Park Goes Into Receivership

I contacted the recievers group which have been appointed at Camelot and after much persistance and 2 hours of being on 'hold', I was told that they have sold a couple of rides from camelot already and will continue to do so throughout the year, however the park will remain operating from may...

Wooden Coaster Figure 8.....The Grand Pier Weston Super Mare

Great to see this is confirmed then! I knew it existed the minute I first read this thread. from a personal point of view; a massive thanks to you 'uncle' for finding this coaster to be true - this story/investigation has had me glued for weeks! Get onto rcdb, perhaps?....

Wooden Coaster Figure 8.....The Grand Pier Weston Super Mare

Spent all day today in my Grandfather's attic searching through literally about 900 photos. There all dated, but all bloody mixed up! :@ Unfortunately - it's what I expected. The earliest batch of photos up there were from 1995. I know I've seen a photo of an indoor Wooden coaster on...

"SAW - The Ride" - Eurofighter for Thorpe Park

Thats absolutely abysmal. Gertslauer's are world reknowned for their excellent reliability. And what a surprise, when Thorpe gets one it goes tits up. Being a wise man who rarely visits Thorpe, I don't have an annual pass so will be making my once-per-year visit on Saturday (urgh, 4 or 5...

    Lightwater Valley - Construction Updates

No Martyn, I doubt there will be rapids under the Funderworld name this year. Such a shame, they hardly have any rides left, it seems! Mind you, I rode these exact rapids last year and they were very fun. Tacky, and awful looking, for fun :D

"SAW - The Ride" - Eurofighter for Thorpe Park

No Joey, they will spin, and its more than just an advert and A-Kid. As has been pointed out numerous times, there is a small box, with a motor in connected to the saw blades. Why would they stick a random motor in a box and connect it to the saws? Exactly, to get them to spin. And, as...
