It's a shame that these plans are just more speculatory **** that these crappy fan pages churn out by the dozen. Although I can imagine the park getting something like this - a ride that cannot operate with any wind, really poor throughput and also not quite suitable for the market...
Re: Stagnant UK Coaster Situation.
It already has! Anyways, to contribute to the discussion, as we are seeing major investment at Paultons next year, it will probably be another couple of years until the park builds something else major. I can't see them building a large scary coaster, as this...
Re: WC16 | Thorpe Park | New ??? for 2016
It doesn't really seem like a good investment when you consider the huge £30million budget, with that same budget they could have built two major coasters - I don't really think the gp care that much about a dark ride.
Excellent dark ride documentary series, called "British Dark Rides Project", the first episode has been uploaded and it is about the Fifth Dimension dark ride at Chessington. https://vimeo.com/141098686

How can people claim its a bad idea when they haven't actually experienced it? In many parks, the actual coaster experience for your eyes and ears is fairly dull, so VR is an easy way to add new life to the coaster. I mean sure, at parks like Disney where the coaster experience is fully themed...
You have to open it in a window in chrome, the silly embedded one in this topic tries to fit it all on the screen at once, where as the actual one allows you to choose what you are looking at.
The main reason I am interested in this technology is for the POVs where you are unhappy with the...
