^So essentially Lionsgate are giving Thorpe Park a few props, whilst leaving the layout and environment construction to them? It would seem to me that the majority of theming is left to Merlin Studios in that case.
Where did you hear/read this? As far as I’m aware Universal discussed what they could do in their mazes with Twisted Pictures/Lions gate, but the construction of props and scenery was left to them.
The Asylum building would be the most sensible location for this if you ask me, as the building has lots of room/height for extensive scenery and theatrical effects.
I’m quite interested to see how this pans out as it has the potential to be really good. However Saw Alive has got to be the...

I also went to see Saw VI this afternoon.
Saw VI was quite clever in using the recession and health care issues to relate it more to its audience. The pace of the film was good and I felt the traps were more visceral than previous Saw films. Alas it’s a long way from Leigh Whannel’s and James...
Saw - The Ride: Extreme Edition?
I’ve known about this possible upgrade/new attraction/experience since I looked at the UK Saw VI website earlier this month:

(Click on the Saw – The Ride link.)
I do suspect an Extreme Edition upgrade is all this is though...
Rumour has it that the lift was topped off recently, pictures will come soon I’m sure, but for now here’s a pre-recently gallery of construction pictures from the Altonator:

Regarding name possibilities, what about Omen? The O on the posters was...
It’s miraculous that it wasn’t more serious looking at the latest photos:

Construction was progressing nicely yesterday. I-beam supports have arrived on site, whilst the station foundation is nearing completion, although the world first is still no clearer (no photos unfortunately). The main focus of construction is now on footer construction in the woodland section...
Silica sand is only added to supports during construction and in greater quantities than what that tank would be able to handle. It’s far more likely to be a pneumatic reservoir, and most (if not all) roller coasters need a pneumatic system of some sort, regardless of any “world first” gimmick.
It’s not for Silica Sand; it’s actually a compressed air reservoir, basically a small version of those found on Rush at Thorpe Park (those big gray towers at either side of the Rush structure).
I think SW6 is just what Alton Towers needed; a nice traditional sit down roller coaster. It’s something that the park has lacked since the corkscrew’s removal, so it’s a welcome addition in my book. I just hope that the number 13 isn’t scratched into the red box in this photo...
This should be interesting; the Coaster Crew team are attempting a live (webcam) broadcast from the announcement today. Here’s the live stream link:

And they're also doing another live audio podcast as well. Here’s the link...
Well, Saw – The Ride and Thorpe Park were on the BBC’s Bang Goes the Theory last night.

^I’ve not come across another backwards tilt track, but there are (or were) other examples of the Togo Ultra Twister backwards tilt track in existence.
It isn't a world first; see 1:16-to-1:26 in the video:

Winjas at Phantasialand also has a backwards tilt track feature:
