Anyway an update courtesy of the Killie Standard;
Defiant theme park boss vows to bring new development to Loudoun Castle

Good news that they have bowed out without any debts.
I wonder what will happen with Parkware's ride trading business.
Hopefully they'll keep the rides on and...
Not really an update - there doesn't seem to be a lot of new info about yet but here's the report from STV News (cant post the vid directly in this thread);

I still think it's all very strange... if this had been in the pipeline for a while then why...
Yeah just heard this on the news, very sad to hear - especially after the park seemed to be going from strength to strength.
Apparently Henk Bembom is keeping the estate though and there is talk of this long-planned holiday village appearing on site... shame it couldn't have gone hand-in-hand...
Glad to see a replacement for the Rat finally installed and it doesn't look too shabby. Will have to get up there soon and try it out.
TBH I think this ride is more suited to that area of the park than The Rat ever was but unless they're planning on changing some of the themed areas, "Gold...

I don't think anythings up though. As Aly said (hi aly!), various rides from the park have been up for sale for years so I wouldn't read too...
Loudoun Castle has been cleared of blame following the tragic accident which caused the death of ride operator Mark Blackwood in 2007.
If any good can be taken from all this then hopefully other ride ops will be more vigilant in future and with the trial now finished, Mark's friends and...
Due to a contamination issue with the original site, "Europe's biggest 80s music festival", Retrofest 2009 will now be held within the grounds of Loudoun Castle!
Sounds interesting and certainly an exciting new venture for the park. Hopefully it'll bring in some extra revenue and visitors to...
Well my faves are Alton, Oakwood and Loudoun.
Alton is deffo the best and I do love it, but I think I'll lend my vote to my local park, Loudoun.
It's not the biggest, or the best, but it's a fun little park with lots of thrills.
