Great research! Probably my favorite thing to do with coasters (besides riding them) is reading through old articles and such. Whether it operated or not, it’s interesting that they had to cut the support. And it’s cool that the engineers rode without seatbelts!

I’m sure the aforementioned blasphemy is mostly due to the fact that the park was so hyped up for me. I’d read about it for years, and it just couldn’t live up to the hype. I mean, FireChaser is good.. great even for a family coaster.. but I knew everything about it. And, the storyline was hard...
