I thought that was the Stratosphere?
I’m not saying Buffalo Bill’s didn’t have one, but I always thought the Stratosphere had the first S&S shot tower.
Hi guys. For the last week or so, I’ve been on holiday, and one thing my family and I have been doing on our evenings is playing cards. Now I’ll admit I’m not exactly a card aficionado, but I have to say that I’ve been thoroughly enjoying our games! With this in mind, I’d be interested to know...
Half way through the week, we’ve really been getting around central Scotland! I don’t think I’m going to do a full park day-style trip report of any of our days, but I’ll provide a few highlights, if anyone is interested in hearing about my first Scottish trip.
On Saturday, we headed for a...
Site preparation for the replacement has now begun:
I must admit, I’m mildly sad to see HRRR go. Not because I think it’s a particularly brilliant ride, but more because of the sentimental value it holds.
It was one of the first properly “big” coasters I ever rode when I rode it for the first...
Great reports so far @Hixee; I’ve really enjoyed reading them!
Out of curiosity, are you heading to the parks in Florida at all if you’ve now started heading back towards Florida?
I was reminded of this thread today on our drive up to Scotland, where one of our stops was the much-lauded Tebay service station on the M6 Northbound!
Today’s drive notched my count up by a further 2, meaning that I’ve now hit 20 UK service stations! (New additions in bold)
Charnock Richard...
Hi guys. We may visit a lot of theme parks on here, but I’m sure many of us visit some interesting non-theme park places as well. With this in mind, I thought it might be fun to have a thread on interesting non-theme park travel reports, to show off some of those interesting places that don’t...
Wow! Great Escape, which was known for years as one of the more neglected Six Flags parks, getting a B&M is unexpected, particularly given the spate of CAPEX elsewhere in the newly expanded Six Flags chain!
I wonder what it will be? Great Escape’s smaller scale leads me to believe that it might...
My answer would be somewhat the same as the one given by @Trax.
What does it matter whether a ride is a “family” or “kiddie” coaster? If I prefer it to a “thrill” coaster, I’ll rank it higher; it’s as simple as that. As someone who ranks coasters based on a mix of fun, thrills and rerideability...
I’m really interested to see how this coaster rides. There’s some very quirky-looking profiling on there, by the looks of things!
It’s also brilliant to see Portugal get its first big inverting thrill coaster, I must say; another European country entering the thrill coaster game is never a bad...
I would suggest an Intamin straddle coaster if it wasn’t for the recent news… I reckon the Intamin family launch coaster seems like a feasible suggestion based on the information given.
If it were to be an Intamin family launch coaster, that would be a massive win for a park like Sarkanniemi!
