This is a bit tenuous as far as it being "Theme Park News" but I know that a few people here have got a soft-spot for Wicksteed 
They've just unveiled plans to dredge and clear parts of the lake and it's surroundings to create better habitats for wildlife, and introduce new leisure opportunities such as "wild camping". The plans have gone on show in a shopping centre in Kettering. They hope to fund the plans with a £1m bid from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

I personally think it'd be great to see the park make more of its natural surroundings. Work like this would hopefully attract more visitors to the park, creating more business, and hopefully leading to more investment in the future. Good luck to them
