I have always really wanted to go to magic mountain due to i have been told its one of the best parks in the world. but is there a better six flags any where else ? please help.

Best at what?

The coaster selection is top-notch, but not much else. None of them can touch 6FGAm in the operations, and 6FDK is by far the nicest in terms of aesthetics and friendliness.

Well, I'm a COASTER enthusiast... If I wanted to see a good operation or something pretty, I'd go to a hospital or a garden respectively :P

Meh. I'm a coaster enthusiast, too. But other 6F parks are a better use of my time/life force.

And I used to <3<3<3 the Tragic Mountain.

It's funny how a few years Magic Mountain seems to have changed...

In 07 it was really poor... Especially in that the corner with X and Tatsu was packed, yet Goliath, Scream, Batman and Colossus were all empty...

Considering I've only been to there and Discovery Kingdom, I can't really make a good decision... Especially as that was 3 years ago...

Great Adventure is the best, flat out. New England and Great America would be next and St. Louis past that.

While Magic Mountain has great coasters, it was pretty meh tbh. I'd be scared to go there on a busy day.

Magic Mountain still has a lot of work to do. It's nicely improving, but it isn't quite "clean" yet. Discovery Kingdom is my favorite.

As a whole, for flats, coasters, atmosphere, and operations, Six Flags Great America. For coasters, Six Flags Great Adventure.

Six Flags Magic Mountain obviously looks like one of the top notch ones as well, but I think it still has a few kinks to work out.

Six Flags St. Louis I was pleasantly surprised with! Hilly, had a nice atmosphere, and some decent coasters/flats.

Six Flags Darien Lake, back when it was actually Six Flags, was kinda meh.

I agree with St. Louis being a huge surprise. A great variety of flats along with good coasters, especially Evel Knievel. Awesome setting with no operational problems.. too bad it isn't visited very often.

^ Yeah, I thought it was gonna be one of the more ghetto Six Flags parks but it turned out to be actually one of the nicer ones. Not ghetto at all, except they need to get rid of that horrible Xcalibur flat :P . As cool as it looks, it was a puke inducer, haha. Oh, and Scooby.. Don't wanna relive that nightmare haha.

But yah it definitely should be visited more often.

What is actually better out of 6Flags or cedar point or do they both have there good points ?

Great America is a fantastic park. Good theming, atmosphere, staff and rides.

Full of big juicy B&Ms 2 good woodies and some classics. Honestly I was really impressed considering alot of Six Flag bashing I heard beforehand. I can't say which Six Flags is best though as I've not visited many.

You can't compare one park to a whole chain. Some of the Six Flags parks are crap, so no, they wouldn't be better than Cedar Point, but the ride lineup of Great Adventure and the overall experience of Great America were both up there with Cedar Point, if not better.

sorry i should have made it more simple i really meant to say magic mountain and cedar because everyone always says there is a contest between them

For me, SFMM is the best... Great coasters, great weather  , and no more bad guys :--D
