Giga Poster
I have only been on one B&M Hyper which was Silver Star and i wasn't very impressed with it because there was little airtime which made the layout rather boring especially riding the intense curves and extreme airtime machine of Expedition GeForce a week before. Anyone who has been on quite a few B&M Hypers i would like to know what are your top 2 or 3 favourites and why. I know Leviathan's a giga and Goliath at La Ronde a not technically a hyper but i'd still like to hear about them. Also anyone who has been on Shambhala i'd really like to hear your feedback on that because that might be my next B&M Hyper.

Silver Star had loads of airtime, it's just that it's "floater" rather than ejector. I like it, but it doesn't thrill me. It's a ride I could sit on all day forever and never really get bored, but never get so excited or bashed around that I needed a break.

Nitro was similar, only it rattled a lot and had a much some much stronger high-g's. Apollo's Chariot was the better of those two and pretty much indistinguishable from Silver Star.

They're all (from what I can gather), pretty much of a muchness. You really want the ones with more, lower hills than the Silver Star huge hills as the air comes in quicker succession. It's all down to how much you like that floater though and how quickly the ride delivers it.

It's between Shambhala and Behemoth, but I think I prefer Shambhala.

And then Nitro and Apollo's Chariot <3

Silver Star <///3

Goliath (SFOG) and Diamondback are my two favs.. followed by Nitro and Apollos Chariot. Intimidator and Raging Bull are complete and utter ****.

Only ridden 4, but they rank like this:

Nitro
Apollo's Chariot
Goliath (SFoG)
Intimidator

Shambhala looks really, really good.

This is assuming everything is running well, because I've had days where Leviathan and Diamondback weren't running good at all.

1. Leviathan
2. Behemoth
3. Diamondback
4. Nitro
5. Apollo's Chariot
6. Goliath, La Ronde
7. Raging Bull
8. Intimidator

4 way split right now!

Only been on Nitro and Apollo's Chariot so maybe I shouldn't vote...but I did ha
Nitro is brilliant. The speed, airtime, layout...of course the B&M open seats and light restraints. What a ride.
Apollo's was also pretty sweet but Nitro just does a bit more.

I actually made that post asking about Silver Star and it sounds like depending on how strong the trims are running you either get a superb ride or a very large mild coaster lol

Shambhala looks great though.

I'm curious about Leviathan. No doubt it's awesome but doesn't look like much to me. Not much airtime, no helixes, I'm sure its fast as hell but seems kinda...idk almost like it's a bit mild given it's epic size and speed. I've never ridden and am probably wrong haha

Time for me to ruin another fun topic.

Hyper coaster - A style or model of roller coaster with four features: a height or drop of 200–299 feet, lacks inverting elements, completes a full circuit & has a lift hill, not a launch.

Mega coaster - A style or model of roller coaster with a height or drop of 200-299 feet & completes a full circuit.

Giga coaster - A style or model of roller coaster with a height or drop of 300-399 feet & completes a full circuit.

Leviathan is 306 feet tall & is a completely different ride than the hyper coasters listed.

^THEN GOLIATH AT LA RONDE DOESNT COUNT EITHER OMDz

Or, B&M call them the exact same ride type, so it's legit to have a topic comparing them despite an extra six feet.

^At least it's a similar ride experience to all of them other than Leviathan.

Well, Raging Bull's different to the others, should we not count that one?

All Leviathan is is bigger. Get o'er it.

This is why I <3 you Ben.
You obviously haven't ridden Levi or you would know that it's much more like MF or I305 (actually a mix of the two). It's as close to an Intamin as B&M will likely ever get & if I were to consider it in the same category as the other hypers, it would be my #1.
As far as Raging Bull - I think that people don't give it the credit it deserves. Yes, the trims on the second hill kill the ride, but at least it's something that the other out-n-backs aren't - a hyper-twister. I wish another park would have the guts to order another one & perhaps let the damn thing fly through the course. I'm sure the airtime would be every bit as enjoyable as the out-n-backs'.

I've only been on Nitro and Apollo's Chariot, and out of those two I preferred the latter. So relaxing to ride first thing on a slightly hungover morning ;]

I've only ridden three, but oh well:

1) Nitro: AMAZING! It has all the elements that makes a coaster great! High speed, high g's, big floater airtime hills and even ejector at some of the smaller hills! It's a shame really that I only got two rides on it.. :/

2) Apollo's Chariot: A good coaster but nothing amazing. Definitely less airtime than Nitro and it lacks the high g moments that Nitro got as well (helix and hammerhead).

3) Silver Star: Only gives weak floater, and it seems soo slow since it never really gets close to the ground. Best part (which is excellent) is the s-bend towards the end!

1. Diamondback: Incredible in the back row, one of, if not THE best first drop I can remember. Great trains, great layout, great coaster aesthetically. Absolutely **** on the front (no airtime to speak of) but the best rides i've had on any Hyper were in the back seats of this.

2. Nitro: Really close second, I actually prefer riding this in the front as from my experience it gives more airtime there, that really caught me off guard after the above. IMO the helix on this ride actually detracts from the coaster if you're doing multi-rides, the first time around it was like 'wow this is intense' after 7 or 8 goes it just got in the way of more airtime hills and made me worry that I was inducing a migraine.

3. Apollo's Chariot: Most re-ridable of any i've done, another back seat hyper, the front airtime wasn't near as strong as Nitro, but still better than Diamondbacks. Love the third drop over the river and the huge helix.

4. Silver Star: I remember really enjoying this coaster and finding it highly re-ridable but it was my first major coaster outside the UK so I can't pin down comparisons too well with it, I can't even remember what it rode like at different ends of the train. It's an impressive looking coaster but nothing about it stands out as incredible.

5. Raging Bull: Was so dissapointing i'd forgotten about it until I read ECG's post. Yeah great first drop into the tunnel (which needs to happen more) then the trim completely killed it. Rode in different seats multiple times hoping it would be better somewhere but it never happened.

I'm certain my top 20 would be changing if I had Behemoth, Goliath or Shambhala in my life.

Well For now I've only ridden Apollo's Chariot but by this time next month I'll have ridden Behemoth, Leviathan and Shambhala (assuming I don't get spited) so I'll have to wait and see

I think we all know, I mean cmon...but I believe B&M doesn't use the term "giga" and just considers it another Hyper Coaster.
There's also the 2 Goliaths which, ironically, don't reach 200 feet but are lumped with hyper/megas
