What happened to the Gullivers Eco Coaster?

I'm pretty certain that I saw a picture of that Eco coaster almost fully built (Antelope clone) at the Eco park, just before it actually opened.

The Eco idea obviously went tits up as they changed the name in 2009 to Gulliver's Dinosaur and Farm Park, but their website doesn't have anything on there with regards to rides, and there's nothing on RCDB (again, I'm sure it had a page at one point).

Or did I just imagine all this?

That's a very good question. I should really make the effort to go the the place and find out. It's only 90 minutes away and I have a child, so it should be easy.

I don't think its running anymore to be honest. Under the Gulliver's name anyway, if it's still active.

Gulliver's are going to start investing quite a bit in all their parks in the next few years. I was meant to be running an event at their Warrington & Milton Keynes parks this year, which isn't going to happen, but, they told us a lot of information regarding the parks and what they have planned. All starting with the hotel at their Warrington park, which was due to open Spring, this year, but is now opening late this year/early next year.

I'm pretty sure they never even started building the coaster?

There were plans for a woodie back in like, 2006 when I went, but it never actually happened.

The Eco park bit is very strange, but kinda cool. There's a 'ride' where you make your own cookie mixture, throw it in the 'magic oven' (bin) and then on the other side of the room a door opens and you all get a pack of processed, chemical-filled mini cookies to eat!

I have a little bit of insight, coming from MK and remember seeing a lot about the plans and the park in the local press a few years back.

If I remember correctly, the whole of the eco park did have a few rides and other attractions in when planned. I'm almost certain they got planning permission for the coaster, but not much of the park really materialised after the budget and/or plans for what the park stands for changed.

I guess the coaster was just a victim of Gullivers not really following up with their plans, which is a shame. Hopefully with their promise of new investment, the plans we materialise again and maybe we shall see it built, but somehow I doubt that'll happen.

Well the Eco park soon changed into that Farm and Dinosaur park, so I doubt we'll ever see the Eco Coaster again...

I still could swear that I saw a picture of it...

The park has quite a few ride for the family inside. I remember seeing the boat ride on the original plans and they've actually added that to the park, although the water is green and absolutely stinks...
