Walt Disney World Febuary 12th 2010 Day 1: Epcot In The Rain

Jason Voorhees

Hyper Poster
Hello fellow newbies. :) This was my first time at any amusement park (excluding fairs) and it was pretty good. Unfortunely my idiot self didn't even take any pictures, which I really regret. So i'll just describe what happened and all that. (Btw this might be boring to some people because I only got 4 creds.) Oh yeah and I also will only give a little bit of each day because most of my memory is pretty blury.

I woke up around 6:30 AM in the morning. I called my grandmother and told her we where there, and she was kinda jelly. :D Of course she knew about it, but ya, she was jelly. I got something to eat really quick and got ready. We got in the car and started driving from are hotel in Kissimmee to WDW, and we freaking got in to Epcot it started RAINING. It looked pretty sunny outside so we didn't bother to bring a jacket. We quickly got on Spaceship Earth.

SPACESHIP EARTH: I was really disappointed. Waited almost 30 minutes in a queqe for a golf ball peice of crap. Sure, it's informational, but even my mother said when she rode it back in 1982 (6 months after the park opened) It still felt the same and nothing was updated. The only part I liked is when you start going backwards and you pick your character and they go out somewhere or just do something PLAIN WEIRD. It's reridable, but only once for every single trip I go to WDW. If you havn't rode it, you're not missing out on much.

Then we stopped by some food stand behind it and got like coffee and a pretzel I think, then it started pouring down so hard we had to go all the way back to the hotel and get my jacket. :/ We went back in the park, and then went to TEST TRACK! Now don't get too excited, it was still Test Track 1.0 back then. :( My mom took a video of it with my IPod and i'm not going to post it because no offense mom but she made it kinda crappy with all the effects and distracting weird pop music in the background :/

TEST TRACK (1.0): This ride was themed brilliantly, although I hate how at the beginning you have to wait for all the cars to go up the hill after the dispatch. My mom almost had a heart attack when the truck looked like it was gonna hit us lol. The heating and cooling test areas are neat, although on the cooling area they kind of failed. When it launched, of course it didn't have the stomach drop feeling, because it's not a roller coaster, but it felt so good with the wind in your face. Although I wish the outdoor course was a bit longer. I would reride it every once in while when i'm there, but not too much, because it acctually is kind of overrated. Though it will always be my favorite/favourite ride at Epcot unless they get a coaster.

Then the sun came out and we headed out to the World Plaza or whatever you call it. We started out with Mexico-Canada, although most people do Canada-Mexico. We ate soime mexican food in Mexico section and then got are Disney passport and stamped Mexico on it. We then pretty much skipped Norway and unfortunatly the stamper from Norway wasn't even at his job, so we didn't get the stamp, and went on to China. We stopped to look at some of the shops, but ended up not buying anything. Then we skipped Germany, and moved on to Italy. We also pretty much gave up on the passport thing because in China and Germany the stampers weren't at their job either. Italy was nice, we pretty much just walked around and explored. Then we walked into the American Adventure, which we totally just walked through lol not so patriotic, are we? Then it was Japan, my favorite/favourite out of all the countrys' in the plaza. We watched that Japanese candy girl make candy and I swear I wanted to take some home with me. She made a Florida Aligator and a think like a giraffe. Then we went off to Morocco, which we explored around and it was pretty cool looking, but nothing to special. If I was a bit older it probally would have been my favorite/favourite country in the plaza because they have like a belly dancing preformance LOL! Then we went off to France, where the only thing was interesting to me was the mini Eiffel Tower statue. I was pretty surprised they didn't have anything kinda similar to Disneyland Paris in that section. Then it was The United Kingdom, which just being honest wasn't much, it was kinda small acctually. We did look around a little bit, though. Then finally it was Canada. Canada was one of my favorite/favourite countries because of the yummy ice cream and I saw a squirel stealing napkins from a food stand no one was at. :O Then it was evening time, and we about 3-4 hours left of the day.

We then went on to Mission Space.

MISSION SPACE (ORANGE): SO FREAKING INTENSE! Well, only at the beginning. When you launch into outer space the g forces get intense and pull your body down so hard in your seat. Simulates a rocket ship going to Mars. Well themed, great ride, lots of negative g force and positive g force on the body, giving you one of the most realistic simulations of your life. This is definately a must ride!!!!!!

Then we went to The Land, where we about to get on Soarin' but the queqe was two hours, so we didn't bother until are next trip to Epcot a few days later to ride it.

LIVING WITH THE LAND: We got on like some informational about plants boat ride or something like that inside The Land and justn looked and plants and a few of their facts. This ride was pretty much something just to pass the time. It was pretty boring. :/

Then we watched Honey I Shrunk The Kids In 3D.

HONEY I SHRUNK THE KIDS IN 3D: Awesome 3D, Terrible film. Best 3D I've ever saw in a film, but the film was hard to get the storyline. Don't see it, It sucks.

Then we rode Test Track (1.0) again for a night ride with are fast pass we got 6-7 hours ago, and it's even better at night. Espically the outdoor course. It was about 7:15 PM at night when we left Epcot back to the hotel, and pretty much watched TV while my dad went outside and talked to some guys. Funny how my dad managed to come to WDW even though my parents are divorced and my dad's married to someone else now that hates my mom. My dad's sneaky XD. Well, that ends off Epcot, have a wonderful night.
