Vekoma Motorbike Coaster at Nanjing East China Mall

This one has been known for a while but it looks like the East China Mall has finally got construction underway and Vekomas newest Motorbike Coaster has been constructed.

To me this looks like more like a junior coaster layout. but apparently Vekoma confirmed it as a Motorbike last years IAAPA. (+ there doesnt seem to be a lift hill)

The Layout seems to be a simple one

Nice to see them try a *slightly* different layout to the others.

^We used to have Metroland up near Newcastle but then that got turned into a cinema


I think it looks like a good addition, booster bikes are always quite fun and I think a short fun circuit like this will mean it'll be very re-ridable.

That log flume looks quite simple yet cool too. Rockwork theming FTW!

Nice to see a new layout for them. I kind like Velocity, it's loads of fun. Also, that layout is REALLY spread out, let's hope it's got quite a bit of speed behind it!

Roomraider, I dunno if you have a clue when this is meant to be done by do you?

Just trying to work out if this is worth getting off the train from Shanghai to Beijing for (since it goes THROUGH Nanjing!)

No worries I just had a look and the best I can do is these images taken on the 16th of May. (I'm going to use this as an excuse to update the topic with pics so sorry that most are irrelevant to your question)

The park is open already and it seems almost everything was open on the 16th of May

However this pic shows the cars under cover at the back. However this was over a month ago now so I see no real reason it wouldn't be running now.

However I am unable to say for certain.

Wow, awesome, you're a star. I've been finding out how IMPOSSIBLE it is to find details about coasters out there, so that's awesome.

Will almost surely go then <3 It's not really any sort of detour, and there are other creds in Nanjing.

And then I'll have been on all the Vekoma Motorbikes <3
