Traveling to Port Aventura

Sorry to post two topics in a short period of time, but trips are being planned and questions must be answered. We will be in Barcelona in late July, and I was hoping to go to Port Aventura. My question is what is the easiest way to get there from Barcelona before the park opens. We can't spend a night at the resort so it will be there and back in a day.

^There's a direct train. Takes about an hour from what I remember. It's very easy. The Port Aventura station is about a ten minute walk to the main gate. I did it as a day trip and managed to get there just before park opening.

Yep Gavin's right, it's just one train from Barcelona Sants and it's 80 mins. Don't try one of the bus companies, I did on the way there and got chucked off somewhere in Salon despite prebooking. On the way back I tried the train and it was all ridiculously easy.

Sorry to hijack your post, Edward but it seemed better than making a new one.

I'm staying in a place about an hour's train journey north of Barcelona in Pineda de Mar so given how long it'll take me to get to PA I doubt I'll get to the park before opening. Are the creds doable in a day? I notice that end of August it's open 10:00 until midnight, I'd be there say 11:00 until 17:00, is this enough time?

Also, at the Barcelona station, I know it's prejudice but do staff members (at least some) speak english? I just don't want to end up on the wrong train in a foreign country ending up god knows where, and given I've only ever travelled solo in the UK I just wanna get things right :P

11-5 in August I'd be surprised if you got all the credits in without some serious good luck. Splash out on a fast pass if you're worried as it's worth it.

Hmmm IF I go I'll be going with family so it might just be better to enjoy the park and leave a cred mop up for another time...

It gets rammed in the summer months so best advice is to get there early as you can and head straight for Shambhala & Khan, always a chance for a cheeky re-ride if youre there early enough as they are a bit of a trek from the main gate.
