To me Batman and H:RRR are not weird choices as i love them, but i could understand you thinking others may think they are (especially H:RRR).

Given that I include rides like Batman, Intimidator, and H:RRR, but exclude rides like Maverick and Nitro, I don't feel like I had much of a choice.

It's okay to have a weird top 10. Plus its yours so you can put anything wherever you want. Its good to have different thoughts then most people. I think my top 30 is pretty off from the normal. Pretty much all my coasters from 11 to 30 are a toss up and could be anywhere in that span. My top 10 is somewhat normal other then Gatekeeper at number 2 and Wild Eagle at 5.

Really, riding and enjoying coasters is the best thing about our hobby and things like ranking are secondary to that, as some may people may not want to do it, i just happen to enjoy it. A coaster doesn't have to be in my top 10 for me to really enjoy, heck i love riding any coaster in my top 100 and a bit beyond, just because they are good coasters.

I don't make lists. I don't vote in polls, and I don't count credits. I just love riding roller coasters. I love traveling to new parks, and I love riding new rides. I would say that I do have a current favorite ride, but it is often just the stand out coaster of the park I last visited. Currently, it's Maverick, but only because I just recently made my first trip to Cedar Point. I imagine that will change to Outlaw Run after I ride it in a few weeks.

I do however enjoy seeing other's lists, and poll results, just to see how my experiences compare to theirs.

^It's all about how deep you dive into enthusiasm. I found that I feel the same way about track that you feel about coasters. A lot of my teammates got irritated that I wasn't as involved as they were.. but at the end of the day, it was just exciting to do things, have fun with friends, and enjoy the overall experience of what I was doing opposed to wanting to be national champion.. knowing who did what.. the name of the guy who slapped a child in the face during WW2 while running the mile.. ect ect.

Of course, making a list doesn't make you too goon. I don't really consider myself too goon even though I feel I do have a large amount of knowledge and experiences over time.

A few new additions have been made since i made this list, which as usual are in bold as well as other 2013 additions. Some coasters that were already in there, have changed because of recent rides. Most notably Black Mamba, which i rode today and was amazed about how incredibly intense and fun the ride was, so much so that i have to say, that they were probably the best rides i have ever had on a coaster making it my new favourite. I know this seems strange as it was at 10 before, but wow it was running sooo well!!! Unfortunetly, Winjas Fear has moved down since my recent rides, still really good, but i feel that magic has kind of gone with the Winjas for me.

After SDC and SFGAm this year:

1. Outlaw Run - Easily the best-paced coaster on the planet.
2. X-Flight - It's the first Wing Coaster to truly use the train design to its advantage.
3. Powder Keg - The launch is absolutely mental followed by insane ejector airtime throughout.
4. Viper - Going over some of the hills, you get the feeling of 'Oh, that's some nice sustained floater--wh-holy ejector!
5. Wildfire - It's smooth, intense, has a nice flow of elements, and the first drop in the back row is superb.
6. American Eagle - It's out-of-control, old-school, and has tons of character and some OK floater in the back.
7. Batman: The Ride - You can't go wrong with the original. It's intense, it's in-your-face, it's marvelous.
8. Raging Bull - Some more airtime than I remember but not as much as I would expect from B&M.
9. V2: Vertical Velocity - It starts to get "meh" from here on in. The spiral tower is a real headbanger in the front.
10. Superman: Ultimate Flight - Aside from the fab pretzel loop it does nothing. Still a really fun ride though.
