Time Machine Possible Relocation?

The Hedgehog

Mega Poster
Saw over on Screamscape that someone saw that not only is Time Machine lit up and had an American Flag at the top, but supposedly heard the lift chain motor running, and saw a train at the end of the brake run.

Is it possible some park is looking at it to be relocated?

Personally I think it would be a great coaster for a smaller park to have, and to be able to say they have a B&M coaster.

Why not?

KK lost it's only B&M when 6F packed up and left, and this would be the cheapest way to replace that loss.

Rumor mill says it's just the park doing preventative maintenance, so we'll have to wait and see.

KK have stated that they will spend $36,000,000 in preparation for the 2014 season and will be adding a new coaster.

So a fair amount of that money will be spent on revamping the park but I'm positive with the amount of money they are spending the coaster is going to be something substantial, they lost their signature ride when SF ripped out Chang and need to replace it, we have seen no evidence of a new coaster, no track has been reported at any of the manufacturers plants, and with the timescale left until the parks re opening it seems that a relocation is now the obvious answer. It's funny how only the B&M has been reported as testing and none of the other rides. If you're Ed Hart you want to make sure it's running properly and there is no significant damage before you sign off the paperwork and start to relocate it.

I'd be shocked if this wasn't going to KK.

The other rumor going around is KK is looking at getting North America's first Intamin Megalite.

I'd be happy to visit if either are true

I would also be happy to ride either as I never got around to ride Time Machine. I wouldn't mind being able to ride a Mega Lite as I haven't had the chance for that either and I hear how fun they are.

If KK gets Time Machine, do you think they repaint it?

^yes they would probably repaint it, They would want to market it as a new coaster not as a second hand one.

The Mega Lite rumour is interested but I'd be surprised if it happened. I always thought that when it came down to Mega's it was more about size in the USA? Hence why nobody in America has a Mega Lite yet.

^^ The GP dont really view smaller coasters as "intense or scary" with only a very few exceptions (Maverick being one of them).

Well they counter that with the vertical drop and the launch.

For me, at least, the key word there is "new". It may very we'll be Time Machine, it looks like it fits in Chang's area quite nicely, and I'm probably just over analyzing.

Ed Hart talking in an interview with Parkthoughts.com that he is investigating a B&M to be the major coaster to open along with the park. The interview is a little outdated but everything that he talks about regarding the parks re opening is happening, Waterpark expansion etc.

The B&M is mentioned at 13:00

That interview is from 2010 as you say, I would not see it as a confirmation that the new coaster will be a B&M.
He could have easily changed his mind since then.

Time Machine is not coming to Kentucky Kingdom. It will not fit.
Chang's old area will be occupied with the new water park expansion.

The new water park expansion will feature a new wave lagoon as well as an extreme river as well as these slides:

As you see, there will be no place for a coaster there.

The new ride will go where the old shuttle loop stood. There's no place for Time Machine there.
It will be a new coaster.

From what I've heard it will possibly be an S&S El Loco, which are apparently just inside Ed's proposed budget of $8 million. That number was from an article released when he announced the current plan (which didn't involve a brand new B&M like his original plan), and from the work being done on the park I don't think has changed.

They have more room than JUSE shuttle loops area. They have a queue area as well from a ride that was shipped off/taken out. It was on their facebook page at one point, so check that.

Wait a minute... Time Machine is central to "Outback Oasis Park" which is due to open with an additional 30 rides and zoo any moment now!

Don't you guys know anything? ;)
