Three Vekoma Boomerangs sold to Fantawild, China

I just saw this on http://www.rcdb.com.

The Fantawild group have bought three new Boomerangs from Vekoma: one for an existing park in Wuhu, and one each for a couple of new parks, in Zhuzhou and Shandong, opening next year. These three parks are also getting the new woodies that were announced recently.

This is to add to the two that they have already bought over the last couple of years - one this year and one last year - both, arguably quite fittingly, called Stress Express. This would seem to be a likely name for these new ones.

Admittedly, I'm not expecting a huge rush of excitement from this news, but I just thought it was interesting that Vekoma have sold some new Boomerangs. They seem to get relocated a lot, but apart from the recent bulk order from Fantawild, I can't remember the last time they sold a new one. Looking at RCDB, it seems to be a park in Finland 8 years ago, but other than that they all seem to be pre-2000.

I also find it quite amusing that the Wuhu park has a Golden Horse knockoff SLC, which, unlike most of the generic knockoffs which have their own layout, is an exact copy of Vekoma's Shenlin/Kumali model. They also have an exact knockoff of a Vekoma mine train. I wonder if Vekoma will actually visit the park during this transaction and see them. I'm sure they're well-aware of them, but the bare-faced cheek of the park is quite funny.

Well that puts the amount of sold boomerangs to 50. That's pretty impressive for a clone coaster, in the thrill category.

Thankfully they now come with the new trains, so they are actually decent rides.

Interesting I don't understand all the bad things they say about Boomerangs I like them even though they are so common and I have rode three already.

I've never ridden one but they seem like ok rides and sound they have improved since the new harness has been added, they are attractive coasters to look at though.

I like them as weird as it is to say, as I found it to be a fun, kinda intense ride to be honest. And not rough either. IDK maybe its just me, but this is good news, in terms of it means that those parks get a new coaster, and its also nice since it will work with their line up.

I don't mind them, but they vary quite a bit

Hated the one in powerpark - pulled down the restraint and it actually started squishing my chest before reaching my gut, and just got worse throughout.
