Today ATTACKHAMMER and I went along to a local new theme park with two creds and plenty of flat rides. The signature cred stood in front of us. 300ft tall and with a 90 degree drop it was by far the better ride of the day.
It is partially indoors and partially outdoors
It had some sexy airtime.
Before the next cred ATTACKHAMMER and I checked out a few of the flat rides. We first hit the helper skelter
I got a carpet burn on my arse which wasn't fun. Next up was the 'Mini Waltzer'. I'm assuming it is a mini one because it only has four 'cups' when standard ones have around 8 I think.
Next we rode the paratrooper. I've only ever ridden one before, the one at Pleasure Island, but this was much more fun, it was really smooth and didn't make me want to spew
Next we did the Wave Swinger called 'Big Swing'. It was pretty dull, I much prefer the ones that rise into the air.
There was an old school Twister. I've always wanted to ride one and I finally got the chance to. Much rougher than the modern day equivalent but still enjoyable nonetheless.
We did the classic swing boats next. I've only ever seen these at travelling fairs before. You power it yourself by pulling rope to swing. Top fact: I once rode one with the mayor of Cambridge.
Up next we decided to ride the second cred of the day now the queues had died down slightly, a Pinfari looper!
As expected it was vile. Extremely rough the whole way round and it is brand new. Certainly won't be impatient to ride this again! +1
After Pleasure Island earlier this year I promised myself I'd never ride another Booster but it was just too tempting so I thought I'd give it a go. Luckily it didn't get stuck this time and it was generally enjoyable giving really nice views over Cambridge.
Lastly we hit up the Ferris Wheel. It would have been nice to be a little taller but it was a nice way to end a decent day.
I'd highly recommend the park to anyone in the area, it was really good fun. Although the second cred was **** the first was fab and the flat rides were also fab! It won't be long before I'm back. Thank you for reading.
