Hilarious or animal cruelty?

For those who have no idea what I am talking about, behold:

Me and my workmates were discussing this today, yes it is shocking to see but if this were a comedy sketch, it would probably be hilarious.

Opinions?

The cat should've gone for the throat... Silly over-friendly moggie...

Yeah, if someone did that to my pet (be it cat or dog) I wouldn't exactly be happy...

Horrid. If you passed that woman on the street, you would never ever thinks she'd do something like that - she looks like a nice lady. I want to spit in her mouth like the dirty whore she is.

What did the cat do wrong? Some animals are genuinely evil, but this cat was just the target of a crazy old bitch.

I'd quite like to see that woman dropped helplessly into a bin by a Tony the Tiger. That would make me lol.

I'm a cat person*. But I laughed. I laughed loudly. There's just something about cats being picked up in generally that looks humorously ridiculous, and the matter of fact method of disposal just added to it.
In fact, even the title of the video raised a smile. It's going to turn out there's been a mass outcry over this now, and I'm going to feel like a really bad person xD

*not to be confused with Kitsune and co... And thinking about it, can we put him in a bin? :--D

Maybe she mis-heard when somebody said,"Can you throw some old tat in the bin".

But seriously,I would have a major sense of humour failure,if I caught somebody doing that to my cat.

Bitch.

I suspect that her and the cat have a history. For example, it may well have been digging up her flower beds for years, or generally ****ting all round her garden. It may have been invading her house, uninvited, just because it felt like it. It may have been tap dancing on the bonnet of her car, rubbing all the dirt into it and damaging the paintwork.

Yesh, cats are awesome

This is the best news story since Raoul Moat!

Ok, the cat was probably distressed but most importantly, it's unharmed.

What I like about this story is the moment of madness.

I would consider myself a relatively sane person, just like Mary Bale, who suffers from the odd moments of madness. I've been walking home from the pub on several occasions and done things that are totally stupid for no logical reason.

The human mind fascinates me, how people interact, what causes them to do certain things. It's amazing.

I'm sure Bale didn't wake up that morning and think "I'm going to put a cat in a bin." She just so happened to see the cat, then she saw the bin. Something clicked in her head and in goes the cat. If the bin wasn't there, it wouldn't have happened.

It's that split second, impulsive decision that an adult has to do something incredibly childish that fascinates me. I bet she waked away giggling to herself, but felt regret as the hours went on.

It's a brilliant news story. And yes, I did laugh.

Honestly, it's a terrible thing, I love cats, and simply watching this pissed me off, even if it was a spark of insanity, somebody doing that to a poor little cat there must be something wrong with them. My question is....was the cat okay.

Even though it's so mean.....I laughed :p

1st time I have seen it even though I read about it yesterday.

You can see her plan it all out, she looked at the bin and looked around to make sure no one can see her.

This for me is a worth a fine, had the rubbish been collected that cat would have been killed. It is as bad as people hitting an animal in my view. She left that cat to die.

Does anyone know why she done it anyway?

Just happy the 1 cat I have left does not go out.

No! It was just a brief second of insantiy from a normal, every day woman, which is why this story is brilliant!

I'm glad it was recorded because otherwise it would have no doubt been blamed on youngsters.

Yeah, uh, what did the cat do?

It was being a cat.

So the woman is racist against cats.

Speciesist or felineist :p

I'm with Will.

While the act is cruel and I don't condone (needless) cruelty to animals, it was comedy gold. The way it was done was just so exceptionally funny.

If she had a problem with the cat, then I could understand it, but apparently not. We've been cleaning up cat turds from our garden for ten years now and I have no sympathy for any cat caught ****ting in my garden. Last one went home very wet, I had a two litre bottle of water in my hand and it took most of it before it could decide whether to run or finish it's crap.

So I can understand frustration with the animals, but it appears it was just one of those "odd moments".

Anyway, yeah... The actual act is terrible, but the way in which it is done is really funny. One of those moral conflicts :)
