South Coast lols Easter Monday 2013

peep

CF Legend
So Nic organised for Jordan, Sue and I to join her on a little jaunt along the South Coast to pick up some creds and generally have a laugh. We travelled down to Nic's on Sunday night and spent a lot of time at a Wetherspoons drinking lots of alcohol, it was a good evening which ended with too much food.

We got up fairly early the next day and Nic made us amazing bacon sandwiches for breakfast. Nom nom nom. After getting ready we all climbed into Jordan's car and set off for our little journey. Nic and Sue were happy to get the Jordan's car cred but were appalled at the floor :P

Our first stop was Harbour park in Littlehampton. I'd been here before on a similar trip with Richard in 2010, nothing had changed apart from the cred looked like it had been given a lick of paint.

We decided to pop into town and get a drink to waste time till it all opened up.

Theming!

*insert childish giggle here*

When we got back the cred was open. Yay.

We then got back into the warm car and drove to our next destination. On our way we saw the spiteful Butlins (£25 for a small fair can go away). However we came across a brown attraction sign...

"GOOGLE IT!"

Before Sue even had a chance to Google it the turning had arrived, we took our chances and headed in. It's just a normal park but had some cool playthings and a miniature railway. We decided to have a ride on Boris.

We enjoyed the train. We also enjoyed seeing ultimate embarrassing father of the year randomly emerging from random bushes and hills to film the train going past. Sue absolutely lost it when he emerged from a hill which had all of us in hysterics.

After our little ride on Boris we got back into the car and continued our journey to West Sands fun fair at [strike]Bum[/strike] Bunn Leisure park.

We were hungry and Nic said that the little fish and chip place at the entrance was good but as we walked over to it a rather shouty man opened a door and yelled "We close at 2pm" - it was 2pm. Well bumholes. Still hungry we waltzed over to the fun fair area and asked a man if we could ride the cred. After a little bit of confusion he obliged.

Le Grand Pomme

When we drove towards the place we spotted a rather cheery bush, I just HAD to get a photo on the way back.

Sue didn't understand what we all found so hilarious, she thought we were on about the street name. Oh silly Sue, she took her time but eventually worked it out.... #OneStepBehind

Our last destination on the trip was Hayling Island's Funland park. I didn't really know what to expect apart from the ColonicDyke Mine cred. We grabbed some food first which was quite nice, too many chips though. We hung around the arcades for a bit. I decided to play with a pounds worth of 2ps. This ended up with probably the longest amount of time at one machine ever. I was there for what felt like hours, it just kept chucking loads of 2ps back at me. Yet no prize. With the others getting bored of waiting I told them I wouldnt leave it with change left and no prize. So this resulted in three of us putting in 2ps at the same time which meant even more coins were being thrown out of the machine and then eventually the small green torch fell out!!! I was so over the moon and it turned out to be really good at being a torch, good stuff.

When we went to get the tokens for the creds we were informed that we had arrived in the last hour of a special price wristband so she gave us further discount off the wristband as it was only available for an hour, bargain!

We started off with the Dragon Manor kids coaster. I sat at the front and there was a bit which really tried to smash my spine in, was very unpleasant. We then went over to the ColonicDyke Mine. I thought this was alright, very fast, maybe a bit too compact for it's own good though.

Nic and I rode the drop tower. It decided to horrifically halt about half way down and then slowly make its way to the bottom.

Jordan, Sue and I then went on the Miami which was mental but quite amusing. So much air time it was insane.

I think we did the dodgems next which were ok. Sue and I then went on the Breakdance which ended up being very meh. We were running out of time now and with the other cred spiting us Nic and I decided to go back on the dodgems while Sue and Jordan went on the helter skelter.

We grabbed some fresh donuts and made our way back to the car. Absolutely frozen but extremely glad we went. Jordan then drove us back to Brighton where we hung around on the pier for a bit.
