this looks good what are your opinions?

that white track next to the wooden coaster is a dive machine if you look close enough.

Amazing, drive in under the woody. This is a really detailed picture actually. Even for the MCBR in the hyper at the back.

Don't hold your breath on this one, Dubai has yet to start any real construction on many of its theme park designs, as well as cancelling projects outright.

Big waste of money for Six Flags for investing in this. I still have yet to see any progress at Ferarri World besides Formula Rossa. i will be suprised if it even opens.

I wonder what these 'world record' rides will be? If the woodies an El Toro style P'n'P, I'd guess that one of the records would be 'steepest wooden coaster', again?

Ferrari World is almost open?

^Im referring to just Formula Rossa itself. Fararri world, last time i checked, just looked like a scrapyard. Formula I believe, is now a complete circuit or is almost a complete circuit .

Actually most of the park is finished.. Opening October 28th, which is only a couple of months away. All of the coasters are built, Formula Rossa has had a complete layout for atleast 10 months.

Maybe you're thinking of the Grand Prix theme park that was supposed to open in Dubai?

holy $h!% they make you wear goggles and the other ride that launches is that made by premier? but is that the future of roller coasters? wearing goggles? :dude:<does any one ever even use that

Yes, the goggles are for potential sandstorms, but they look pretty unrestricting.

And no, the other coaster is built by Maurer.

Remember, Ferrari World isn't in Dubai... it's in Abu Dhabi.

The UAE is sort of like the UK... except each Emirate (there are 7) has more of an individual economy and structure.

Dubai is suffering as most of its economy is focused (or was focused) on finance and real estate... the two things affected most by the recession.

Abu Dhabi is a LOT larger than Dubai (lots of desert where as Dubai just consists of the city), and has a ridiculous amount of oil. This is why Abu Dhabi was able to bail Dubai out with billions last year.

So in short... projects are still happening in Abu Dhabi, but NOT in Dubai.

If any major parks are built in Dubai in the next 5 years, i'll be very suprised.

Dubai Land is still a desert... I don't think they've built much more than a single showroom yet.

No Formula Rossa is Intamin... i wish it was Maurer. And the track looks Maurer. but so does the track for RingRacer

But back to topic. Forget Dubai,
Build this in the middle of the US Desert, or in the CT Plains.

Although off topic, I'd just like to say by 'other coaster' I meant the one which isn't Formula Rossa, I forget its name, which is Maurer.

And really? The big Maurer's I've done have been pretty poor.

If the rendering is true, the park will have a Griffon clone and an El Toro clone(you can clearly see the hills and the twister section). The hyper looks pretty cool and they have a Huss Frisbee in there as well. It it's built, it should be a great place!
