And is probably going to have alot of talk now behind him even if he does come back.

One Question to every one.

What did you think his music.

And his music alone. Regardles what's happend with him.

I've always loved his music. Like with all music artists there are some songs I don't like but overall I love it.

I had 3 heros Senna, Michael and Madonna. 2 of them have sadly passed away.

Michael for me was the greatest and most people in music would love to achieve half of what he has. He changed the way music was made, the way video's were made and the way people dance.

For me he is the greatest and his songs will live forever.

I do enjoy his music but because of some of the wackier things he's done it kinda put a dint in him being amazing.

Meh.

I could listen to plenty of other stuff over his music. I didn't grow up listening to him so there wasn't any influence. And tbh his later years really overshadowed his music.

It was pretty good, I mean, he had some good songs but I wasn't around when he was the big thing so I never got a chance to really get into his music or anything.

I was scared of the Thriller video. I attempted to moonwalk on the kitchen floor. I'd dance to Billie Jean whilst grabbing my crotch. I've had lonely yet uplifting moments listening to Man in the Mirror. My brother and I would do a duet of Bad. I've danced on a table doing the actions to Blame it on the Boogie. I'd put on one glove and make "sha-mo" noises. I cringed when he did Earth and We Are Not Alone, but still listened to them. Everybody in the office sings the rap in Black & White when it plays on the radio.

I'm not one to be upset by a celebs death, but Jackson was special. Despiet his troubled personal life, the man was a tormented genius who brought me plenty of pleasure during my childhood and beyond.

Have to click the first option for this poll.

The music I could take or leave to be honest. It's pop, but good pop (by that I mean pretty simple, easy to follow tunes that are catchy). So meh on the music front personally.

However, I do think he was (in his time) a great performer. That time was almost 20 years ago though...

I love his music. Especially the Jackson 5 as well.
I'm not a massive fan though and just enjoy listening to his songs.
He was a great singer and performer and had alot of trouble that kinda put a dent in his career but people still loved him for his music and how he changed the way music was made.

I liked the music he produced in the 70s and 80s. Definately not bad stuff. I never thought it was stand out amazing though.

I think that if you remove the bad stuff/his mental instabilety he is amoung the greatest people ever.

Mother was into his music so I grew up with it in the background.

I enjoy his music. Not obsessivley and I was never a huge fan. I would always turn it up if it came on the radio though and some of his songs were fantastic.

It was hardly amazing music, I voted for enjoyable. It was incredibly catchy and will be around for a fair few decades.

I think Jackson held the strings to pop music so now he's gone I don't see anybody maintaining it's origin. Britney's comeback is a total flop but Jackson's death is a genius marketing scheme, I mean his album sales will rocket now for another 2 years.

Has to be the bottom option.

I don't think I've heard more than one of his songs from beginning to end, at least not listened to it. And the only reason why I heard Man in the mirror is because the choir I'm technician for sung it a few months back. And even then, I can't remember anything from the MJ version.

So yeah. Another guy. To me, at least.
For those of you who feel startled by this, it's like that with about all musicians to me. I've never bothered with any single band or singer before, propably won't do it either.
By the way, 259 600 other persons died yesterday. I think we should give them a thought as well.

MJ said to Timberlake that to stay ahead of the game, not only do you have to feel the beat, you have to see the beat. Boy did that work for him, just Look what he achieved. The guy shaped not only yesterdays music industry, not even just todays music industry, but the music industry for years to come still! Not many artists can have that claim, and this is what makes him a Legend.

His music is amazing, and hasn't dated a second.
Long live MJ's music!

Clearly I'm not in touch with popular opinion.

Hated the stuff.

(don't get me wrong - on many levels its a shame he's popped it, clearly loads of people liked his stuff and are genuinely upset ; but will I miss his music... like a hole in my head. The downside of all this is that there is going to be this huge resurgance of him in the media (it all sells papers after all)...)

While I'm not denying sales will rocket, to suggest its a 'genius marketing scheme' is ****ing idiotic.

"GUYS SALES ARE DOWN WHAT SHALL WE DO??!"
"I KNOW, HOW ABOUT U UNEXPECTEDLY DIE LOLZ!!"
"GOOD IDEA......*BOOMF*"
"HOLY **** HE ACTUALLY DID IT, WERE GUNNA ****ING RAKE IT IN!!"

Thing is, all 15 of MJ's albums are in the top 15 positions on Amazon, Uk and US, and it's the same in HMV and most record stores. It's mad, he finally became successful again after his death.
